 Subject: “How to Overcome”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We live in a day where many of us think about standing firm in a world gone mad, but we don’t often think about actually overcoming the world and the host of wickedness. Yet, we are called to do just that, once we have the assurance of a personal relationship with the risen Lord. To overcome, we know Lord, that we can no longer be lukewarm Christians. We can no longer sit on the fence attempting to receive the benefits of both worlds. We must choose. So, we pray for every believer to overcome the world by rejecting what the world calls wisdom and learn to trust you alone to give us everything we need for life and godliness to overcome every known emotional and psychological problem. We pray that we will trust you in our battles against the enemy believing that we will overcome by keeping our mind stayed upon you and your will. Help us to guard what we read, what we see, and what we listen to, so we can overcome the evil one. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who overcame both the world and Satan. Amen

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:21).

PRAYERS FOR THE LAST WEEK,  IN CASE YOU MISSED ONE

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 4/11/2021

Subject: “Suffering with hope”

Good morning Heavenly Father. “Darkness comes before the light,” has always been a truth that’s been passed on from one generation to the next. A truth as much about scientific fact as it is a hope for us who are facing our worst nightmares, the darkest of times. We can only imagine how your first disciples must have felt as you lay in the grave. Today the whole world has been forced to join them and us in this period of darkness, as chaos and the pandemic hangs over our heads threatening to take our lives. Yet, it has been your people alone who have suffered from the beginning through every global and national tragedy as little more than sheep to be slaughtered. Unlike the world you, Oh Lord, have given us hope beyond the darkness and have given us hope beyond the grave. We pray today that no matter how much your precious children must suffer in this world from the darkest of calamities to the malicious attacks of the enemy and the pagan, lead them to look beyond the darkness to the coming light. We pray this in blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter” (Romans 8:36).

 Subject: “Nothing will separate us”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Jesus, for your magnificent and unchanging love for all of your beloved children. A love so strong that it will continue unabated during the worst tribulation, even the great tribulation, that will cause many to doubt their faith believing in an earthly savior to save them from their calamities. We put no trust in man or government to solve the world’s problems and deliver us from our peril. The stronger the tribulation and peril, the stronger our faith in you alone will be to deliver us according to your timetable and not ours. We take great courage and confidence to stand firm during our greatest trials because of your strong love that holds us in the palm of your hands, a love that strengthens every fiber of our being. We pray for all of your frightened children that they will lean on you more during these dark times when this lasted pestilence and chaos is ravaging our country and the world. We pray that your children will spend more time praising and trusting in your Name before the fallen world. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”  (Romans 8:35)

 Subject: “Obtaining the minds potential”

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we have spoken of often in previous blogs and videos, the mind is a great thing and a wonderful gift from you, our Lord. You have taught us, Oh Lord, that the mind is great and can be used to its full potential if we allow you to take our every thought captive. Thank you for showing us that this is only possible through the work of the indwelling Spirit and our obedience to His direction. Oh, how the mind likes to wander from one foolish and vain thought to another with little control if left to its own. With your help, we have learned how to cast down every vain immigration by allowing you to take our every thought captive to the glory of God. We pray that you will teach all of your beloved children to only think your thoughts after you to obtain the height of what you want to accomplish through us, in everything we write and in everything we say. For your thoughts are so much higher than the vain imaginations that exalts itself against your knowledge. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (II Corinthians 10:5).

 Subject: “Our first love”

Good morning Heavenly Father. The only thing we desire is the Father’s love and to return to our first love. When lights go dim and the entertainment stops, we are always drawn back to our first love. When the work is no more and the nights grow long, we think of our first love. When the voices of others are drowned out by our heavenly affection for you and when romantic intentions no longer capture our hearts, we return to you our first love. A love that never grows old or loses its pull on the strings of our heart. A love that’s so strong that it pulls us back to you day after day and hour after hour to experience life in the Spirit. How gracious you are Lord for bestowing such a great love on us your new creations in Christ. As times get more difficult in the days ahead as Satan increases his temptations to pull us into his domain and under his control, we pray that all of your children will return to their true first love, the Son of the living God. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love” (Revelation 2:4).

Subject: “Don’t open the door to Satan”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We wonder, Oh Lord, how prevalent demon possession will be in the last days when Satan realizes that his eternal destiny is at hand. What incurable mental diseases are caused by humanity opening the door to his presence by their unwillingness to overcome their secret sins? Or what could cause the entire world to openly and secretively embrace every method of sexual immorality? From homosexuality to denying their created gender, is that too opening the door to Satan’s presence and control? As the whole world is turning away from you, our Creator, we are seeing an increase in psychological and emotional problems made worse by their prescribed drugs, is that too opening the door to Satan’s presence? We are seeing Satan’s wrath destroy your beautiful creation and putting the greater part of humanity in bondage. We pray for all of your beloved children to stay in the Spirit and not ever open the door to Satan’s presence by flirting with the destructive forces of sin, transgressions against you, our God. Help us all to guard our minds and cast out every vile thought. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” (Revelation 12:12).

Subject: “The truth shall make you free”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come humbly into your presence today seeking your advice and direction in our conversations with your wayward children and fallen humanity. We realize, Oh Lord, that conspiracy theories and false prophecies are nothing new, for they have been with us since the beginning of time. They have always held people in bondage by believing the lie. We pray Father that you will help us, especially during these days, to stay focused only on the truth and not be carried away by another new conspiracy theory circulating on the planet via the internet. We pray that you will give us the words to speak or sing, and the images to use in our videos, to help all people focus only on the truth about your death and resurrection that gives them a new life in Christ through faith. Truly that is the only thing that will set them free. Your magnificent truth is the only thing that will set them free in a world that’s moving rapidly to becoming totally in bondage to the enemy or the coming Antichrist and his many lies. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

 Subject: “We will overcome”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray that you continue to lead us and give us the courage to speak up to a world that has gone totally mad. Even if we are ignored, ridiculed, or disagreed with, let us keep speaking the truth that the whole world is in bondage, and don’t know it. Most are destined for hell and don’t know it. So, we will keep telling them that they are spiritually dead and don’t know it, but they can be made alive in Christ Jesus and become free. That nothing in this world can help them, only you have the power to transform them and make them into a brand-new creation. We pray that all of your beloved children would start living this truth and become true witnesses of their new life in Christ. That they would allow you, Oh Lord, to powerfully work through them to the glory God. We shall overcome even if we need to walk shoulder to shoulder towards our persecutors with one united voice that you are the Creator and nothing in this world can change that truth. Hallelujah! We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (I John 5:4).
