Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 12/11/2018

Good morning Heavenly Father. Perhaps no one really understands the great love that we have for you our Savior and our Lord. They cannot fathom the tremendous joy that we have in our hearts from knowing you. Although we have not seen you in the flesh, we believe and have known you intimately through the indwelling Spirit. What an indescribable joy it is to finally come meditatively before you and experience the unspeakable glory of your presence. Although we always long to just be in your presence through meditative prayer, we also know the joy of serving others in your glorious Name. For not everyone believes, and their busy lives miss the great joy of your abiding presence. So, we pray that we will always be ready to change our schedules and adapt to our new surroundings being ever ready to share the love of your Son, Jesus Christ with integrity and forbearance. Help us to grab those quiet moments throughout the day to once again come quietly into your presence seeking continued direction and giving you all the praise and adoration that we always long to do. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (I Peter 1:8).

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for our emotions that can express the feelings of our heart. We tend to weep more deeply and rejoice more exuberantly since you have changed our hearts. We believe that our emotions are now a reflection of your great tenderness and sympathy; of your great joy and jubilation that you feel for your beloved children. The same heart that was in your beloved Son who wept over Jerusalem and the sudden death of a close friend now abides in us through the indwelling Spirit. We now understand the depth of our emotions as believers in Christ and should not fear what you have given us, even if the unbelieving world rejects, mocks, or attempts to cure it. We are what we are by the grace of God. Our hearts cry out in great anguish and the deepest agony for the loss of our children and their children to the evil professors who have led them astray. The devil has blinded them of our history and bringing them down the same path of death and destruction. We call on all of God’s children to weep together concerning this tragedy. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep” (Romans 12:15).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 11/13/2018

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, teach us how to pray. We pray for the nation of Israel and the other people round about. We know the people of Gaza feel like they are in a cage and have been led by their radical leaders to hate the Jew. Help all their people to see and understand that they have brought this on themselves. If they acted more humane and stopped their aggressiveness, then we believe that Israel would reciprocate and give them more freedom and even assistance for all their people. Until they come to their senses, we humbly pray for your people, the nation of Israel. Although not all have accepted your beloved Son Jesus Christ, we know that many have. Let that be the salt, the preservative of the beautiful land, enough to receive your mercy, divine grace, and protection. We pray for all of your beloved children in the area to work with the nation’s leaders to develop a peace plan that recognizes Israel’s sovereignty and right to exist. For now please stop the rockets and protect all the people in Israel. We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:2-3).
