Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/10/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank Lord for all of your great and wonderful promises. Thank you, Jesus, for your promise to never leave us or forsake us, especially in a world that’s experiencing so much tragedy. Thank you, Lord, for your promise to make us into a new creation where we have happily witnessed the old life passing away and our new life in Christ becoming a reality. Thank you, Son of God, for your beautiful anointed words in the Bible that truly gives us everything we need for life and godliness. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving us the promised Holy Spirit to dwell in our lives helping us to become all that you want us to be in Christ. You are keeping all of your promises in the life of your beloved children, all who believe. Without the hope of you, fulfilling your promises in our lives, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to stand firm, which has already caused many to fall away. We pray that you will help your beloved children to believe and trust in all of your promises. We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” (II Thessalonians 2:3).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/9/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come humbly before your throne of grace this morning waiting in silence, solitude, and listening. We wait patiently for you, Oh Lord, to lead us in our prayers as you so miraculously fill us with your Spirit, filling up a fiber of our being. We present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to you. When we do the fog is lifted and we can see clearly your divine will for our lives. In the midst of all the turmoil, the lies, and the darkness we will let our light shine. Our light will shine brightly by loving others through our acts of kindness, encouragement, and only speaking the truth in love. We pray that you will shield us from all the deceptive lies in the world that are destroying your beloved children. We pray that you will teach all of your children how to recognize the evil put forth by the powers of darkness and immediately turn away from it, and not share it, or speak of it. Please open their understanding that by speaking of it constantly and sharing it will only cause the evil to grow exponentially. We pray that we will not be used as instruments of the evil one. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/8/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, every day the world seems like it’s growing crazier, that is, people are doing more things that shock our sensibilities. At times it feels like we live in some kind of Twilight zone. Most people seem fascinated with the past of others through the publication of books and memoirs but on the other hand, they want to erase history by tearing down all statues. Has COVID-19, the lockdown, face mask, and politicians caused us all to go a bit insane, or is it something much more sinister. Could it be that most people simply don’t want to recognize their sins on the one hand and the unyielding consequences on the other? They simply don’t want to recognize that your wrath is revealed against all unrighteousness. People are reaping what they have sown sending many to the counselor’s office or to a life of lawlessness as they unhappily observe their lives deteriorate right before their eyes, going from bad to worse. We pray that people will stop and realize that you see everything, every bad decision, every broken promise, and every lie. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/7/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we have great empathy and compassion for all the people because of this renewed lockdown and the extended requirement for wearing a mask. Many of them are hurting so much that they are breaking out of their captivity for any reason, even if it leads to lawlessness and anarchy. It’s not just about social justice! We pray that your beloved children will reach out to these hurting people in love through whatever means are at their disposal to tell them of a better Way. Let them speak about a peace that defies understanding. Let them speak of the tremendous joy of meeting their Creator. Let them speak of your wonderful forgiveness that opens up a brand-new life that’s free from the old emotional and psychological struggles. Let them speak about the power to say no to drugs, lawlessness, and everything else that pulls them down. Finally, let them speak of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ by believing in you alone, truly the power of salvation. We know that most are hurting and just acting out; what they need is you! We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/6/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we bend our ears to hear you this morning we wait patiently in silence and solitude. We truly want to hear what you have to say about the world and more specifically what you have to say about your children. We know, Oh Lord, that there are many things in the world from the news media to the social media that seek to drown out your still small voice, so we are listening to you alone. Yes, we can see it. A greater disaster is coming that will silence everyone making our current problems appear insignificant as the entire world unites behind the man of lawlessness; the one who will promise to transform the world. We pray that we will not chase after every little problem like it’s the end of the world but to spend all of our time teaching others about the kingdom of God and how to walk daily in the Spirit. Let us spend our time loving one another instead of scolding them for not believing as we do. Rather, help us to focus on our Spiritual growth. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/4/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come ever so humbly into your presence this morning asking you, pleading with you, to stop this horrible virus that has caused a global pandemic. We know that you have the power to this immediately. To do so would no longer make the 4th of July just an American holiday but it would make it a holiday for the entire world; a day when the God of heaven stopped this virus in its tracks. Father God, we have always been a firm believer that you can allow this COVID-19 to happen, or you could have caused it to happen through your righteous wrath, or you can even stop it from happening by displaying your divine mercy. Therefore, we have NEVER assumed that this was the enemy or even your wrath sent from heaven unless you tell us plainly. We are not necessarily asking that you tell us, but we are asking you to STOP it from ravaging our country, destroying our economy, disrupting our political system, and mostly from taking so many of our loved ones. We join our voices with all of your precious children from around the world and ask you to stop this virus in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/3/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we have seen more and more people freak out or just lose it publicly by crying, screaming, and even throwing things. Some of these people have been referred to as a “Karen” or a “Ken” as the entire world pokes fun at them as some sort of oddity. As clinical psychologists line up to also give their so-called professional opinion, while others simply term them as racist or conspiracy theorists, we believe they totally misunderstand the problem. We believe the underlying problem is fear. Fear has gripped our nation causing people to act irrationally. We pray that your beloved children will not be overcome by the fear that will only grow exponentially as we get closer to the end, especially when you don’t return as quickly as they expect. We pray that they will tap into that great peace that only you can offer through our salvation that dispels all fear even if we must face the ferocious beast in the arena. Help them to understand that true self-giving love for others, that flows from you, will cast out all fear. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/2/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, when we look at the condition of the world and specifically at the United States of America, we don’t see unity or harmony of any kind. The divisions are ripping this world and this country apart. There is no real strength in any of our current leaders to bring forth true unity out of such discord and lawlessness. We would like to pray for such a leader in our time, a leader who would govern in justice and righteousness. Although we pray with all sincerity, we fear that the next great leader will not govern in righteousness and justice but will govern with a very heavy hand causing his will to be accomplished throughout the world. We feel that the time is ripe for such a leader, so we pray for all of your beloved children to strengthen their relationship with you, taking up the full armor of God. We pray that they will join you in this great battle against the powers of darkness, seeking to rescue those who been taken captive by the many lies of the evil one. We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).
