Subject: “We Patiently Wait Upon You, Oh Lord”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for showing us again one of the greatest promises in your Word to contemplate when we feel weak and weary, when all our strength and energy is suddenly gone. Instead of crying out and complaining, which we see many doing in our world today, we turn to you in quite meditation. We patiently seek your presence in the midst of our calamity. We cry out softly and tenderly to you alone, the one true helper of our souls. Above all you have taught us to wait, to wait upon you to lift us up. We don’t turn to others, and we especially don’t turn to the world for help. You have taught us to wait patiently upon you. So, we wait. Then suddenly we begin to feel the warmth of your heavenly glory fill our souls, waking up every fiber in our bodies restoring our strength and giving us a new burst of energy. We pray that your children will learn to turn to you, waiting upon you in quite meditation, instead of immediately crying out to the world. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

PRAYERS FOR THE LAST WEEK,  IN CASE YOU MISSED ONE

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 11/28/2023

Subject: “Our Lifeline to You in Prayer”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for our lifeline to you in prayer. Without prayer and our belief that you are listening, that one day all evil will be overthrown, and that we will be delivered from all of our problems, then we would not be able to stand firm. We have the faith of Jesus that no matter how bad it gets, we shall overcome. We pray that you will give us the patience of the saints who have gone on before us; those who have faced ferocious beast, drowned, hung, and burned at the stake, yet remained obedient to all of your commandments. We pray that we will not be like the immature babes in our age who complain and cry aloud about the slightest problem or discomfort. We pray that all of your beloved children will grow up to maturity by putting their trust in you alone to provide for their every physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Help them to understand the sufficiency of Scripture. Although written two thousand years ago, it still contains everything we need for all of life and godliness. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12).

 Subject: Friends and Family

Good Morning Heavenly Father. We all have friends and family that have not accepted you as their Lord or they no longer follow all of your teachings. Most of them have heard the good news that faith in your Son Jesus Christ would not only open heaven’s door to eternal life but it would change everything in their lives by opening a whole new horizon of beautiful possibilities. My prayer this morning is that you will speak directly to their hearts calling them into your kingdom of eternal bliss. Let them feel your magnificent love flowing through every fiber of their being. Please, dear Lord, take them by the hand and show them everything that they are missing from living in a world without you. I can remember many, many, years ago the great fear in making a commitment to follow you as Lord, but I also remember how you graciously took that fear away when I accepted you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, dear Lord, for the many years of your love allowing me to witness your many blessings of what I call little miracles. We pray this in the glorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).

Subject: “Help Us to Remain Stable”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we have seen many things in the world that has brought tears of grief to our eyes, but nothing seems more grievous than the instability in the world. It is much greater than just changing one’s mind only once because they have received greater enlightenment through additional research or spiritual insight. It’s as though people, even those in positions of high authority, keep changing their mind or positions again and again, and again. There is no end their instability being blown in one direction then another. It’s especially grievous when we see this instability even in those who claim to have a relationship with you. They are constantly changing their belief with every wind of new doctrine blowing through their social media or news media platforms. We pray that they will find and re-establish the Anchor of their souls, the true unchangeable doctrines of their faith through Christ Jesus our Lord. There is no wonder that these unstable people aren’t receiving anything from you; “For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord” (James 1:7). We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8).

Subject: “Longing for that Blessed Day!”

Good morning Heavenly Father. What a glorious dawn this early morn with the sky turning bright white to signify your blessed holiness. We are thankful, Dear Lord, that the glories of heaven await your chosen and beloved children who will not be marked by the Beast and the evil powers of darkness but will have on them the seal and name of our Father in heaven. We take great encouragement that we are now and always will be in the company of the Lamb of God. Thank you, Father, that your holy angels have gone forth in this world to bring forth conviction upon fallen humanity by sharing and confirming our witness to them. We pray that your children will do their part and share the simple gospel to all of their family and friends. There’s still hope for the wicked if they repent. Thank you, Father, that the war will finally end with your righteous judgment on fallen humanity giving us hope, that you will in the end, right all wrongs for the many centuries of hate and persecution toward your people, the true Church. We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads” (Revelation 14:1; read 14:2-20).

Subject: “I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we know that Satan will do everything in his power to make us fight the wrong battles, so that we will lose the war. We cannot legislate morality, nor can we force people to do what we believe to be righteous and just. If we could then the war would still be lost. Thank you, Lord, for coming to earth and showing us how to win the war one person at a time. Yes, the real war must be waged in the hearts and minds of humanity, and we are losing this war because we have forgotten this truth. We pray that you will open the eyes of your children and allow them to witness the power of the Cross to change lives. Presidents can’t do it. Senators can’t do it. Congressmen can’t do it. Even the Supreme Court can’t do it. Only the power of your gospel and the preaching of the Cross can change the hearts and minds of humanity. Help every believer to pick up their cross today and join the war effort in our fight against Satan. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).

Subject: “Vengeance is Yours, You Will Repay”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank Lord for giving us clarity on so many issues facing your beloved children in every age. Not everyone is going to behave or act the way we expect. Not everyone will hold our same set of Christ centered values. Although it may appear to be much worse in our day, we believe that most will agree that in earlier ages people were just better at hiding their differences along with keeping their grossest of trespasses in the closet. Well, that’s all changed and our whole world appears to be falling off the cliff of immorality. We confess that we have been greatly bothered at the left’s extreme aggression toward your children along with them openly flaunting their immorality. We confess that for a moment in time we thought about striking back as the world strikes back edged on by the devil himself. We pray that you will help us to trust in you to repay the evil doer with your righteous wrath in your time and not ours. Give us great courage to turn the other cheek where possible and go the extra mile in our dealings with the other side. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord” (Romans 12:19).

Subject: “A Fool Takes No Pleasure in Understanding, But Only in Expressing His Opinion”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we can truly see the evil in our day when nearly all the news media sites feed the population exactly what they want them to hear and believe, expressing their liberal opinions and not the news. They also know full well how to hide what they don’t want you to know. It’s a very sad day, when we can no longer trust anyone to speak the whole truth without mixing in their deceptive lies or just refusing to cover an important story or event. We pray that you will lead your children to reject their lies, their deception, and their cockeyed opinions; rather lead them, Oh Lord, to spend their time encouraging one another to plan for your arrival by growing spiritually. If every believer stopped listening to their lies and stop buying their products, then just maybe they will begin to see the error of their ways. Help each of us to only speak the truth and proclaim loudly that we have no interest in their gossip, their bashing of one another, their sexist innuendos, and especially their foolish opinions. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion” (Proverbs 18:2, ESV).
