 Subject: “Pray for one another”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We feel led to continue praying for all your beloved children. We know this is a rough time for them, not knowing when these plagues will end or when the lawlessness will subside. Their minds are inundated with conspiracy theories that are just causing them greater confusion. We know many of them are suffering loneliness because of this virus, unable to see their children or grandchildren. We know this also must be difficult to be separated from their close friends or brothers and sisters in the Lord. We have observed that many are fighting anxiety, depression, and even malicious attacks from the enemy. Fear has also gripped many of them, although they have done a great job of hiding it. Oh Lord, we humbly ask that you reach out to your children and let them feel your love and presence as you have so graciously shown us. Let them know that you will not leave them or forsake them no matter how difficult it becomes. Please, Lord, embrace your children today filling them with the Holy Spirit as you forgive them for their many trespasses. We humbly pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16).

PRAYERS FOR THE LAST WEEK,  IN CASE YOU MISSED ONE

 Subject: “Choosing the good part”

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we come this morning to set at our Master’s feet, let us do it with an open mind ready to receive all that you want to give us. In prayer, we don’t always come to speak but to listen to your beautiful truth. So, we pray, Oh Lord, that you will help us, for the mind loves to wander from one topic to another even while you are attempting to speak to us through the indwelling Spirit. The mind loves to think about all the other things that need to be done, as the clock ticks more loudly in the background. We also think intently about all the tragedies and natural disasters taking place in the world dragging us down into the pit of deep sadness and anxiety. Help us to focus only on the task at hand of intently listening to your still small voice from within that gives us our daily bread, that’s so useful for the soul. Thank you, Lord, for continuing to guide us every moment of every day through the indwelling Spirit. We have truly chosen the good part. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41-42; read also 38-40).

Subject: “Being led into all truth”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Father God, we weep for those who have been taken captive to spiritual pride. Instead of coming to the light, they have allowed themselves to believe that they can discover all the truth on their own with no help. Sadly, we have observed how their spiritual pride has allowed them to slip into darkness and further away from the light. We thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, that you have known from the beginning how words and their meanings would change over time even in one’s own language. As words and meanings changed, so did translations from the original scrolls that recorded your beautiful words. We thank you, Lord, that you have given your children the Holy Spirit to understand the whole truth contrary to the translation they use. Although pride and the rejection of all modern translations have blinded many in our day, we are thankful that the indwelling Spirit is faithful to lead your humble children to the truth and the light of your precious Word. We trust the indwelling Spirit to always lead us into all truth. Praise God! We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” (John 16:13).

Subject: “Here is the patience of the saints”

Good morning Heavenly Father. In the midst of the storm, we observe the patience of saints who are true believers in Christ. They don’t follow the world being blown about by every idle word spoken by fallen humanity or every news story released by the gatekeepers. Nor are they moved by the many senseless theories pushed by the world. No, they are demonstrating the true patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God. We pray for all those who claim to be true saints to spend all of their time striving for complete obedience to all of your precious commandments. We pray that they not only seek to memorize your commandments but will apply them to their lives every day through obedience. As the entire world goes mad producing great upheavals and unbelievable acts of lawlessness, we pray that your beloved children will grow in the holiness of the Lord. We pray that they will only speak the truth and perform their acts of righteousness in the sight of fallen humanity. Let us patiently listen to you, Oh Lord, and not to the world. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12).

 Subject: “Call forth repentance”

Good afternoon Heavenly Father. Father God, we pray that we can be a voice of reason to the world and a voice of encouragement for your children. The world simply does not know what’s going on. Even their most learned professors are confused by what they see in the streets of America. To them, Oh Lord, everything is political being used by both sides to gain an advantage. They simply don’t see the big picture. They don’t see your hand in the affairs of fallen humanity allowing them to slip deeper into the consequences of their own sins. Please, open the eyes of your beloved children so that they can see and understand. Lead your children to proclaim to the fallen world they are reaping what they have sown, and nothing will change that except true national repentance. We hear conspiracy theories, but we don’t hear a call for repentance. We always hear a bashing of the other side, but we don’t hear a call for national repentance. We pray that all of your beloved children will lead the way by crying out to you in public repentance. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:5).

Subject: “Joy in the Spirit”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, why do we, your beloved children, deny our greatest joy in the Spirit? Why do we deprive ourselves of the time of silence and solitude as we listen so intently to hear your quiet words spoken so clearly and gently to our spirit? We confess that it’s because we fill up our schedules with exhausting work and then try to relax with frivolous or meaningless activities. Forgive us, Oh Lord, and show us, your children, once again that it’s much easier and more meaningful to relax with those things that we so often deny or deprive ourselves of these days. Oh, how we long to be with you alone on the mountain top as your energy pulsates through every fiber of our being, where we completely lose all track of time, as we are caught up in the Spirit. We pray that during these dark days that’s capturing many souls to experience the darkness of depression or the agony of stress that they will meet you in total submission filled with the Holy Spirit. Oh, the joy of allowing you to take us by the hand and show us how to overcome. We pray this in the beloved Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed” (Luke 5:16).

Subject: “Let us not cause others to stumble”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray, Oh Lord, that you will always give us great discernment when we read your Word in our various translations. Help us to always discern the truth especially if we share our interpretations with others. Oh Lord, we never want to be the cause of a weaker brother or sister to stumble into sin or cause them to lose hope in their calling. We know that there are many things that can cause your children to stumble into sin, but we don’t want to be one of them. We pray, Oh Lord, that when we preach the truth from your Word that we will also encourage the weak not to lose hope or get discouraged if your Word seems too difficult. This is especially troublesome in the day in which we live because we are already seeing many of your children, who claim to know you, slip into darkness by committing all manner of sin. We don’t see much spiritual growth. We pray that you personally will encourage them through the Spirit by letting them hear your voice and feel your power. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble, it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea” (Mark 9:42, ASV).

Subject: “Are you denying the power?”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for the great power that you have given to us. We have witnessed the great power of the simple gospel that breaks down barriers, soften hearts, and removes the blindfold put there by the enemy. We have witnessed the great power of forgiveness that allows us to continue receiving your loving forgiveness while it opens a door to true reconciliation with those we have forgiven, and it also relieves us from the painful agony of unforgiveness. Thank you, Lord, for the great power that allows us to say no to the old sin nature and the devil who wants to keep us in bondage to do his will. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the power of transformation that is truly changing us and growing us from one degree of glory to another. We pray, Oh Lord, that we will never deny the great power that you have so graciously given to us. We pray that you will show your beloved children how to access this great power through the indwelling Spirit by believing and trusting in you alone. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (II Timothy 3:5).
