Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/20/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray thanking you Lord for your continued guidance through the Holy Spirit, if we only took time to listen. Thank you Lord that sometimes it comes more slowly through hours of prayer and meditation while at other times it comes as a burst of inspiration. Thank you, LORD, for my own experience of listening one day long ago as it came very quickly and I decided to pick up a complete stranger bringing him home for dinner and lodging at our home. We are not sure if he was an angel, but we have written how this Godly man told us things we have treasured in our hearts to this day. Oh Lord, we pray for all your beloved children that they would listen to the still small voice or nudging of the indwelling Spirit so that they don’t ever miss an opportunity to entertain an angel unawares. We are convinced if the direction from the Holy Spirit is true then we have no fear of danger. Praise God. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” (Hebrews 13:12).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/19/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We know Lord that there are some things that simply cannot be rushed. We pray that all thy beloved children will not rush their time of prayer and meditation, but take all the time necessary. Allowing you to bring to our memory those who need our prayers. Help us all to labor in our prayers going where You lead. Help your children to move beyond their selfish prayers to labor for those who are in bonds or afflicted for their faith. To enter our prayer closet and fully into thy Spirit to such a degree that we begin to feel what they feel. That we experience true sympathy as we realize that we are indeed in the same body. As we continue in our prayers asking that you bring them comfort, healing, release and above all that they can feel your presence along with their brothers and sisters from around the world who are praying for them. Who are experiencing with them their same affliction in the body. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body” (Hebrews 13:3).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/18/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for the conviction of the indwelling Holy Spirit who always shows us the good thing to do. Bringing it to our mind, tugging on our heart and giving us an inspiration that it’s the right thing to do. Never out of selfish gain, but in the giving of ourselves to others. We pray Father God once you have given us the good thing to do and have motivated us through the Spirit that you provide the physical strength, the time, the ability and financial resources needed to complete the task for which you have called us. Let us never refuse to do the good things that you have called us to do. For we know through thy Holy Word to do so is the sin of omission. So, if we know the good thing to do, help us to step out on faith believing that you will provide everything we need to complete the task for which you have called us. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” (James 4:17).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/17/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What an amazing thing happens when we cast our affection on the things above. We catch a glimpse of what the new life in Christ should be by observing our heavenly state. Praise God. No more struggling against the flesh. No more resisting the fiery darts of the evil one. As we focus on those things which are above somehow we are set free from our earthly struggles. No longer compressed about by time schedules and earthly concerns, but somehow set free to keep in step with the Spirit. Praise God. Giving us time to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. To enjoy our relationship with the risen Lord. To have such a desire to walk in this new life in Christ. To never become a stumbling block for others, but truly modeling our new life in Christ allowing it to make a difference in their lives. So, we pray, Oh Lord that you help us to stay focused on those things above where you are enthroned. We pray this in the Beloved Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” Colossians 3:1-2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/16/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray that all your beloved children would understand that they are an open book to others concerning Christianity. Help them to see that what they say face to face, in letters, or on social media will have an impact upon their listeners. Either for good or for bad. We pray that our words are always gracious being careful not to be rude, obnoxious, or prideful. We pray, Oh Lord that they demonstrate kindness, gentleness and respect. Help us to season our speech with salt by keeping it holy and righteous knowing that it has power to build up or destroy. That it has power to bring life or bring death. Remind us to always think before we speak. We pray Father God that you always give your children knowledge concerning the deeper things of our faith so that they know how to answer every person. That we have courage to speak when led by the Spirit. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Colossians 4:6). (Read also 4:2-5)

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/15/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for showing us that our ministry is effective to the Glory of God the Father. Often, we struggle day and night to produce the work you have given us. Laboring intensely on producing a work worthy of Thee. As others appear to run ahead of us while others lag behind we are confident that we are producing at the rate you have given us. We have not been called to compete, but to follow. Thank you, LORD, that our effectiveness is not seen in our productivity, but seen in the changed lives of others. The ones we have truly helped to put off the old life and put on the new. To move away from the lies of this age with its psycho-babel and move on to embrace the truth that has changed their lives. This truly has been written on our hearts for all to see. We need no letters of recommendation. All glory to God. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men” (II Corinthians 3:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/14/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray LORD that everything we do, everything we say, and everything we write becomes a firm foundation for others to build on. Let it strengthen what remains as the wicked is destroyed by the outpouring of thy divine wrath. As your great Apostles laid the foundation by proclaiming thy divine truth and writing it down through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, lead us to build on that same foundation by also proclaiming the truth for our generation to be passed on to the next. As we all look forward to thy coming in the clouds let us not sit idly on the mountain top awaiting thy arrival like the lukewarm church, but lead us to roll up our sleeves and fight the good fight making this our home for future generations. Let us spend more time spreading the truth and less time following the signs. Let everything be done to glorify your name before all men. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation” (Proverbs 10:25).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/13/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Friday the 13th, what does it mean to the Christian community? Not much, but to an evil world led by Satan, the god of this world, it could mean a lot. An opportunity to use this date as terrorist previously used 911 to reign down death destruction to an unsuspecting world. We know not what evil has planned, but we know that you are still ultimately in control giving it boundaries. We pray that all thy beloved children take comfort in this fact. Not being alarmed by the day or the malicious threats of evil to destroy your beautiful creation by bringing death and destruction to millions. Let us pass this day as any other placing our faith in you alone. Trusting you to deliver us from any calamity that would strike our world. We pray that you would strengthen your faithful remnant, wake up the lukewarm church and open the eyes of the blind. We pray this in the most powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it” (Jeremiah 5:22).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/12/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Changed from one degree of glory to another indeed is our greatest desire. To become more like you in our thinking, in our actions, and in our desires. Thank you, Father, as we draw close to you we can catch a glimpse of your glory through the Spirit. When we behold your glory, it gives us the greatest desire to be just like you. To behold your glory more and more. To become all that we are destined to become. What utter joy to know and believe that we are being changed as we grow spiritually from one degree of glory to another. Never the same, always changing until we arrive at the state of divine perfection in glory. Praise God. We pray that we will always rebuke the devil’s saying, “if we are so Heavenly minded, then we are no earthly good.” For we believe that the more Heavenly minded we become, the more earthly good we will be. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (II Corinthians 3:18).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/11/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Help us LORD, for we live in a land of lawbreakers. In a land that does not honor their rulers. We have never seen this to such a degree were many, especially among the news media, exploit every minor flaw and cast such horrible insults to the one in authority. They no longer care about your higher law. We have become a nation of lawlessness no longer seasoned by the church who has grown lukewarm. We pray, Oh Lord, that at least your faithful remnant would allow the bright light of your gospel to shine into their lives. Where they become brand new creations letting the world see the changes you have so miraculously made in their lives. Let us honor those in authority letting the world know it’s because we follow a higher law that leads us to so. Lead all your children to be obedient to all their laws if they don’t conflict with yours. As your wrath is poured out on a lawless nation let us remain under your providential care knowing that we do not rest under your wrath. We pray this in the most Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well” (I Peter 2:13-14).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/10/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. No matter how bad it gets with hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes, and monstrous fires we will always praise you publicly. No matter how far our churches slip into lukewarmness we will always believe that you have a faithful remnant who courageously proclaim the truth. No matter how evil and perverse the world becomes we will stand for truth and righteousness. In all this we pray for strength to stand firm against the evil one and our old nature that always wants to raise its ugly head against us. Give us power, Oh Lord to overcome our enemies of the flesh. Give us power to stand against the devil and all his minions seeking to destroy thy precious children. Let us not simply ignore him hoping that he will go away, but lead all thy beloved children to firmly rebuke him in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ. As the spiritual war becomes even more furious as we approach the end lead thy children to always keep their armor on ready for battle. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/9/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. There is no greater joy than having fellowship with our risen LORD. Yet how sad it is in our day when so many who call upon the Name of the Lord, but don’t have fellowship with You. Yes, Lord they are following their blind guides and doing all the right things, but don’t have fellowship. They read their Bibles, attend Bible studies, pray often, and even tell others about You, but have no fellowship. Oh, Lord what can we say to thy wayward children to bring them back to you? What can we say? You are knocking on the door of their hearts ever so gently, but they cannot hear it. Oh Lord, what can we say? We pray Father that all your children would stop scrolling, reading, watching, listening, playing games, posting, tagging and liking long enough so that they can hear the quiet knocking on the door of their hearts. So that they will invite you in to have fellowship with You alone without any distractions. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/8/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for shining your bright light of truth into our hearts this morning. As the Alpha and Omega, you were there in the beginning. You were there during the first church age and at the beginning of the Tribulation against thy holy people and you will be here during the last church age of the Laodiceans and the Great Tribulation. Thank you Lord for being with your people in every age as they died and suffered great tribulations for the truth. Blessed be the Lord. In our heart your saints believe we are now in the last church age of lukewarm Christianity. We pray, Oh Lord, that we will not be a part of the lukewarm church, neither hot nor cold, but that we become firebrands of great strength standing for truth and righteousness in these last days. That we are truly saints living every moment of every day for you and with you in the Spirit. We pray this in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/7/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for the encouragers. Without them life would be most difficult. Especially in a day when everything tends to tear your beloved people down. From evil words spoken in anger to bullying from our peers. From a world that has given them a label by the professionals telling them that they can never do better to the devil’s wiles casting many into a life of bondage. We all need encouragement. We pray that we would all learn how to encourage and build up one another in their most holy faith. Pointing out the good. Emphasizing the positive nature that Christ has already instilled in them and helping them see their unique Spiritual Gifts. Help us, Oh Lord, to never tear down others for whom you died, for every believer is precious in your sight having a special calling and an important place in the Body of Christ – the Church. Help us to see their special calling so that we can impart it to them for their benefit. We pray this in the most Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do” (I Thessalonians 5:11).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/6/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today we are mindful that we all are a work in progress. That none of us have arrived yet at that lofty goal of perfection. As we immerse ourselves into thy beautiful Word with the indwelling Spirit driving it ever deeper into our hearts can we see how much further we must go to obtain perfection. We have discovered, Oh Lord, that there is nothing stronger, yet more fragile than our will. At the same time wanting our own way and getting our will hurt if we don’t. Teach us, Oh Lord to be truly submissive to one another. Not demanding our will to be done but following your courageous example of saying, “not my will, but thy will be done.” Even to the point of death on the Cross. We pray that we will catch a glimmer of that perfection as we submit our wills one to another allowing their individual Spiritual gifts to be magnified. Help us dear Lord to truly submit one to another in godly fear of you, in accordance with thy divine will. Give us eyes to always see thy will. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:21).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/5/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for always showing us where we can improve. When others don’t respond or move as quickly as we expect; or when they don’t perform to our expectations then it’s our opportunity to demonstrate forbearance. To bear with them in all lowliness, meekness and longsuffering. We pray, Oh Lord that you teach all your beloved children how to demonstrate these blessed characteristics when dealing with the shortcomings of others in our work environment, at home and while driving. Let others see the light of Christ in us and not the angry impatience of the world. Help us, Oh Lord to use the old euphemism, to bite our tongue and change our words to a softer and more gentler tone. Help us to always bear with others in love knowing that they too are a work in progress. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/4/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. How easy it is to lose focus in today’s world. With the carnal invention by fallen mankind to counsel others in their many and varied afflictions of the soul it has removed the responsibility of caring for our fellow Christians. How sad to rob Christianity of its most sacred duty of counseling our fellow believers who have been overtaken by some trespass or placed into bondage by wrong thinking. We pray Father that you would open the eyes of all thy beloved children to our responsibility of bearing one another’s burdens by giving them godly counsel coupled with sympathy and love. We pray that we would no longer send your children to the world for a cure. On the other hand, help your children to believe that they can bring about a lasting cure through spiritual counsel thus truly bearing one another’s burdens, and so fulfilling the law of Christ. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/3/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for setting us free from the law hanging over our heads waiting to catch us in the slightest trespass. Thank you for writing your law on our hearts and gently bringing it to our mind through the indwelling Spirit. Never giving us more than what we are ready for in our pilgrimage of being grown from one degree of glory to another. Praise the Lord for our freedom not to be used for an occasion to the flesh, but by love to serve one another. Time not used for our worldly desires, but time used to serve others with the precious gifts that you have imparted to each of us. We pray that we will never serve grudgingly or with a downcast spirit, but with willingness and love in our hearts. Oh, what joy it is to truly serve others in love rather than our own selfish desires. We pray Father that you keep giving us opportunities to serve others in your Name bringing all glory to You. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/2/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We enter our prayer closet today with great trepidation that we and thy Holy Scripture might be misunderstood. We can’t ignore the fact that your Word through the Apostles tell us to greet one another with a holy kiss. Not once but repeated five times. Even if we leave this in its culture context it must still have some significant meaning for all your beloved children living in the 21st Century. We pray that you open the eyes of all your children to the truth. The truth that all your children must truly accept and greet one another with a sincere love in their heart. Although the outward expression could vary from a holly kiss to a holy hug or a warm handshake, the point is we must truly demonstrate our love to all the followers of Christ, no matter the race, culture, intellectual ability, or religious affiliation. We pray Father that all your children would practice this to such a degree that it would become a true example of brotherly love to a divided world. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss” (I Corinthians 16:20).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/1/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for the many years that you have always brought another brother or sister to us with a word of encouragement, a word to admonish or counsel right when we needed it the most. Thank you Lord for using us to do the same. What joy it is to help your beloved children to overcome an obstacle in their life. An obstacle caused by sin, allowing the devil control, or listening to the world’s counsel. A counsel that typically led them further into captivity of the old life and dependence on psychotropic drugs. What a joy it is to see people set free. Set free by the knowledge that you have instilled into your beloved children eager to serve. We pray Father that you will always lead us to admonish or counsel one another with all goodness in our hearts to truly help. To see them put off the old life and put on the new life in Christ. To see them make progress in the Christian life by growing spiritually from one degree of glory to another. We pray this in the Name of the Wonderful Counselor Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another” (Romans 15:14).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/30/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. One by one these “one another statements” hit hard at today’s churches and even at our own inner group of select friends. We pray Father that you help us not to judge others, but to accept everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord. Lead us to receive them even if their theology is not mature or their outward behavior is not as refined knowing that you are at work in their life molding them into the perfect image of your Son. Lead us to accept one another, we pray, even if their dress standards and personal hygiene is less than ours knowing it’s always the heart you’re most interested. Lead us to accept and receive into our company as friends even if their race or nationality is different than ours. We pray that we receive one another to the glory of God remembering that at one time You also received us. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God” (Romans 15:7).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/29/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for being patient with us as little children always learning and growing. Along the way our beliefs may have changed through study or influence, but along the way you have remained patient with us drawing us ever closer to you and the truth. We pray that non-essential dogma would not separate your beloved children, but they would learn to agree on the absolute essentials of salvation, sanctification, and glorification creating your desired unity among all true believers. We pray that we would all be likeminded as we serve together to glorify you our Heavenly Father. In matters of diet, the importance of days, seasons, calculations of your return and those momentous events that surrounds it, let it not separate us. On the other hand, we pray that all thy beloved children become likeminded in their preparation of your Coming by putting off the old life and putting on the new. Let them all be like minded on the wiles of the devil bent on separating your beloved children. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus” (Romans 15:5).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/28/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. In today’s world this is no doubt one of the most difficult “one another statements.” It would seem as though many of our worldly systems are designed to honor ourselves above others, while God’s Word would have us to do the opposite. From the old “Apprentice” Show to the flashy colors for a new post on Facebook with its increased desire for more likes and recognition, people seek honor above others, yet God’s Word teaches the opposite. We pray, Oh Lord that you will show us how to honor others above ourselves. That is, the real rub, above ourselves even to the point of us being neglected. We pray let us always settle for the best. The secret recognition by our Father in Heaven even if we are neglected by the entire world. Let us honor our brother above ourselves not only in tongue, but also in our hearts. we pray. It is in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another” (Romans 12:10).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/27/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Teach us LORD to love everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord. Every true believer in-Christ. Teach us how to love them with the same affection that we would love our own dear children. Help us to be kindly affectionate to all your beloved children showing them the same devotion that we would give to our own blessed children. So, depending on their age we would extend our love and devotion to them as if they were our own children, brother or sister, and mother or father (dad). Seeing to all their needs as we would our own blood relatives. We pray that all your beloved children would see that these needs reach well beyond financial considerations to their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs. To be truly devoted to one another willing to spend the time necessary to truly help them. To spend the time necessary to demonstrate our love and affection. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another” (Romans 12:10).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/26/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for impressing upon us the importance of every brother and sister in the Kingdom. Although each are quite different, we pray that all your beloved children will see the unique qualities of each believer and their needed contributions to the body. The old nature as a rule doesn’t like differences seen clearly in religious, intellectual, and racial divisions. Yet, you have taught us through thy Word and the indwelling Spirit the need for every brother and sister that you have placed in the Kingdom. How each have been given their own gifts to be used for building up and strengthening thy beautiful Kingdom. Let us not follow the world in their differences, but to embrace it, knowing that our differences are our strength. That every gift is needed to grow your Church, your holy people here on earth, knowing that one day we will all together become the beautiful bride of Christ’s at His glorious return. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another” (Romans 12:5).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/25/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Holy Righteous Father in Heaven we submit ourselves to you alone above all others. Although your Word tells us to submit one to another, we pray that all your beloved children will understand that it does not mean to submit to their unrighteous behavior. That it does not mean to preclude our overall submission to you alone. We admit dear Lord that it infuriates us and breaks our heart when religious people think they must physically beat others or scream at the devil to cause him to flee. Oh Lord, please open the eyes of all your children that truly submitting to you alone and resisting the devil in their faith will cause him to flee. We pray that you will increase the faith of all your children believing that the devil is not strong enough to stand against our faith. Thank you, Father, for giving all of us Spiritual power to resist on our own through faith as we submit to you. We pray this in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/24/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Father, for the refreshing waters of prayer and meditation. Waters of love and forgiveness to cleanse our souls of all unrighteousness. Enabling us to see clearly through a glass that has been darkened. As the tempered medal passes through the flame our souls are made ready to behold the Lord of glory. All the problems of the world now seem so small and insignificant. Our hearts have been made pure by your overwhelming love so that we can look beyond the problems of this corrupt and evil world to our face to face encounter with you in Glory. It’s this magnificent love that can really change the world. We pray that all your beloved children will see and understand the power of this love to change the world by allowing it to first change us. Only then can your love flow through us to others. We pray this in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known” (I Corinthians 13:12).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/23/2017

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. We come ever so humbly into thy presence today. If indeed we are entering the period of the Great Tribulation then we have nothing to fear, because your Word has taught us that you will be with us until the end of the world. It has also taught us that your coming wrath poured out upon an evil world will not touch us. Although we may experience the momentary affliction caused by the many catastrophic disasters all around us, we have confidence that they will only be used to discipline us as your beloved children and to strengthen our faith in you alone. We pray, Oh Lord that we will continue to work as long as it’s day for we know that the time will come when no one can work. Spreading thy truth through every means possible and inviting others into thy blessed Kingdom. For now, give us strength for this hour. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/22/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for prayer, for with it comes always the dawning of a new day. Where everything is made new once again. Night is no more and the bright light of your glory can already be felt in our souls. As the sun rises over the horizon we are reminded instantly of the many times in our life where we walked close to you. As memories flash before us and we feel the warmth of your presence we can’t understand why the world has rejected you. Why do they settle for the dark night of their souls always walking in fear and trepidation? Always on a fast pass to nowhere. Doing the same thing over and over again with no marginal results. No matter how much the world pulls and tugs on us to return to such a mundane life. We pray that we will look up and always walk in the light of your presence. Allowing you to make our everyday new. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/21/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We want to hear your wonderful, powerful and majestic voice this morning. When everything seems dull and routine it is you, Oh Lord that always breathes new life into us. Making our day gloriously special with new meaning. A new direction. Thank you, LORD, for not leaving us in the valley very long, but always bringing us back to the mountain top where we can interact with you face to face. Spirit to spirit. Filling us with your love and presence. How it grieves our spirit that the world mocks what it knows not. How it ridicules the deeper things of God. How it spurns your precious children for their holy pilgrimage. Praise be to our God that all their slander and persecution will not alter our course, nor change the path that you, Oh Lord has set before us. The plans that we have set before you on the mountain top. To be ratified as your plans made holy without spot or blemish. We have felt so blessed to come into thy presence today and it is in your Son’s Name, Jesus Christ our Lord, that we pray. Amen

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/20/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Very soon now the world will know the power of God. This thought came into my mind, Oh Lord as I entered my prayer closet today. We are so distressed and agitated by the continual negative attitude displayed from the media, Hollywood, politicians, and the many others led astray by their professors or their own evil hearts. Yet, we feel such an overwhelming quietness among thy churches and even our own voices are drowned out by a choir of discontent for Christian values. Give us great strength, Oh Lord to lift our voices, not only among those who listen, but also among our family and friends who have been carried away by the great evil of this age. For their time is short along with the rest of an evil and perverse world. Help us all to warn them while there’s still time to repent. No one knows the Day or the hour, but surely in our spirit we know the season. So, help us to cry aloud from the highest mountain. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!” (Isaiah 40:9).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/19/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, that you have everything under control. Although the world is quickly going into full panic mode for all that’s happening now, we as believers are not unsettled, but trust in you. Yes, we trust you that nothing will happen to us beyond what we can handle. In the midst of this turmoil of increasing size of hurricanes and the threat of nuclear Armageddon, we as your children press on with our higher calling in Christ Jesus our Lord. So, we pray while it’s still day give us strength, guidance, and determination to complete our task. We pray specifically that you will continue to bless all those associated with and working so hard to establish Tribulation Radio to be your voice. A voice to encourage your beloved children. A voice to give them comfort and guidance in the midst of their greatest trials and tribulation. As we broadcast a beacon of hope in these dark days, we pray that we will be able to stay on the air until you return in glory. We pray this in the most powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it” (Psalms 90:17).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/18/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. How great thou art. We truly live in a time of deception. We pray for all thy beloved children from around the world to listen closely to thy Holy Spirit that you have so graciously given to each and every one of them. Give them ears to hear what the Spirit says. We pray that they will never grieve the indwelling Spirit by turning a deaf ear. We pray that they will never grieve Him through unrighteous behavior. Thank you, LORD, for giving us the Comforter to be with us always. Thank you, LORD, for sending us the Teacher to lead us into all truth. As mass hysteria grows to a high pitch in the coming days, even among many of thy own children, concerning yet another prophetic prediction of the end of the world, we pray, Oh Lord that they will listen closely to the indwelling Spirit. To do so surely will keep them focused on the task at hand of spreading the good news to a dying world. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/17/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As I finally make it into my prayer closet this morning I am overwhelmed with the notion that I am not just praying for myself, but for the entire world and specifically for the Christian community. Clearly every Christian should. There is no wonder that I glance at the news headlines first, prior to entering my prayer closet. Let us pray! Father each of us, all your creations desire peace, a measure of comfort and compassion, but the world again is on the brink of war. Beyond a war of words, saber rattling and conventional weapons to a nuclear exchange. We all lift our voices to you this morning on your Lord’s Day and pray for peace among all the nations in the world. We pray that President Trump and his generals make the right decision. We pray that you would awaken the lukewarm church to raise their evangelistic voice and allow it to be heard around the world; for only you, Oh Lord can truly bring peace to the heart of man and between one another. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” (I Timothy 2:1-2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/16/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for giving us signs to show us when your Second Coming is at hand or very close. We know it’s not your intention to cause mass hysteria or to keep your beloved children so consumed with looking at the signs that they fail to follow the Way and become what you want them to be. We cry out to you asking that you continue to shine your bright light through us into a very dark community of so called believers, the lukewarm church. Let us not fear the darkness and the evil that exists all around us, but continue to preach the truth about the Way of salvation and spiritual growth and not get hung up on the many signs in our day. We pray that thy children will resist the temptation to follow all the false prophets of our day proclaiming doom and gloom by twisting the Holy Scripture to say whatever they want it to say. Give us strength and wisdom, Oh Lord, to assist you in preparing thy Bride, for your glorious Coming. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21:25-27).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/15/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father, how great thou art. Our lives are just a fleeting moment in time an eternity. Here today gone tomorrow; indeed, the possibility of every man, woman and child upon the planet. Teach us, Oh Lord to number our days spoken of by the prophet. We pray that all our plans will be laid out before you for we know not the future. Then help us to live our lives day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment making the most of every moment. Help us to never squander our time in foolish and unproductive activities, but to use every moment of our lives in loving service to You, Oh Lord and to one another, a great joy indeed. Help all your beloved children to see this joy of serving others without following the world in its lust for entertainment and selfish play. As we live out our lives let everything we say and do bring glory to your blessed Name. We pray this in your Name Jesus Christ our everlasting Lord. Amen

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away” (James 4:14)

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/14/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come ever so humbly into our prayer closet today with our spiritual ears wide open to hear what you say. So many of us want to speak, always speak, but not be good listeners. Help us, Oh Lord, to be good listeners. Help us to empty our minds of all our many thoughts and just listen. We admit even in our conversations with one another we often are thinking about how we are going to respond, instead of listening. It’s quite difficult to do both at the same time. Help us to really listen to what you say. For therein is our greatest delight. What a joy it is to hear that still small voice spoken through the indwelling Spirit. Never contradicting Holy Scripture, but bringing it to light or allowing us to recall it from an earlier time. Thank you Lord for speaking to us concerning the beauty of the Bride, because she has been fully forgiven where her sins are no longer remembered. If only your beloved children could think of their earthly brides that way. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife” (Revelation 21:9; Read also Ephesians 5:25-28).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/13/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father how glorious are all your ways. Thank you Lord that you never change. That is very comforting and reassuring knowing that you will always be the same. That your love for us never diminishes. That your promises will always stay the same. That all your amazing attributes will remain the same for all eternity. In a fast-changing world that’s growing more evil and corrupt each day, knowing that you will always remain Holy and Righteous gives us great assurance that we will be made the same. That all evil will be separated from us for all eternity. We pray that you will help us to grow every day by putting off the old and putting on the new. That we will always strive to live Holy and Righteous life’s. That we will turn away from all evil, to not listen to it, to not gaze upon, and to never embrace it. We pray that you give all your beloved children great discernment to recognize the evil in our day. We pray this in the most Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/12/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Father, for the prayer closet. Allowing us to meet with you and hear your words spoken to us through thy indwelling Spirit. Allow everything to stop. Everything in life is subservient to meeting with you in this private chamber. We pray that all that we do will bring glory to your Name. To be a bright light in a dark and decadent world. Although each of thy holy children have been given their own task to complete, help me Oh Lord to complete mine. From writing books, to publishing my daily prayers, to producing videos, to writing blog articles, to recording for my internet radio let it all be done for thy glory. But having said all that I humbly confess that there is nothing more important than meeting with you in the private chamber of our hearts allowing thy Word from thy Holy Scripture brought alive through thy Spirit to enter deeply into our whole being, our soul and spirit. Help us to never be so busy that we can’t hear you speaking to us, which really is the best part of life. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41-42).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/11/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. In the storms of life, thank you Father for loving us with an everlasting love. We know somehow that your love for us will never change. As the world falls in and out of what they call love, your love always stays the same. When we survey our problems this morning and take an account of what we have lost, help us we pray, to remember your great love. A love that looks beyond our present difficulties to a spiritual encounter with you in all your heavenly glory. More spectacular than all our most glorious sunrises put together and the spiritual warmth that they instill. Thank you, Father, for your powerful love that fills us to overflowing. Indeed, you are Love. A love beyond our comprehension and mere words. We pray that you will fill all thy beloved children with your glorious love this morning. You are love. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (I John 4:16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/10/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for your beautiful Word that always encourages our hearts. No matter what happens in this short life, compared to eternity, we know it is not your wrath that is causing us to suffer. As true believers and followers of Jesus Christ we have been assured by you that we are not appointed for wrath. Praise God. As we experience one catastrophe after another in this fallen world then if there is any wrath intended it is not for us, but for those who practice every manner of wickedness and perversion. We pray that it will not destroy the unbelievers, but use it, Oh Lord to open their eyes to the truth. And for your beloved children use all suffering to draw us closer to you purging us of our transgressions. What a blessing to know that we do not suffer as the pagan who has no hope. Praise God. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do” (I Thessalonians 5:9-11).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/9/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come straight into your presence this morning as a little child runs to his parents. We cry out to you asking that you help us to understand all these back to back catastrophes in our day. Not only is it the hurricanes, the flooding, the forest fires scorching the earth, the unusual heat waves, the droughts, the massive earthquakes, there’s also this clear and present danger of a thermonuclear war. Help us to understand we pray. We do not want to follow the many false prophets of our day, but desire to have you speak directly to each one of us through thy indwelling Spirit. Open our eyes to the truth. Is there a corollary between the rise in wickedness and perversions in our day with the increase in calamities? Everything in our spirit says yes and are true signs of your soon coming. Help us not to get lost in the signs, but work even harder safeguarding the truth while proclaiming it to thy wayward children and a lost world. We pray this in the everlasting Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things” (Mark 13:23).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/7/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today we are mindful of all your precious children around the world that’s facing great trials and tribulations. As the world becomes more evil and decadent we can expect to see even more tribulation unleashing its fury upon humanity. There is no escaping that fact. Thank you, Father, for your promise to be with us in the midst of our tribulation. Your promise to never leave us or forsake us. Your promise to be with us to the end of the world directing your ministry here on earth. So, we pray LORD that you give all your blessed children marching orders in the midst of our tribulation to know how to speak and act to fulfill your mission here on earth and bring glory to our Heavenly Father. Let us not grow anxious, but focus on the greater commission of becoming salt and light to the world when they need it most. We pray this in the Name of our savior Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:20).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/6/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. On a day when others try to use our good name to do evil, we cry out to you. When we see yet another hurricane bearing down on the United States, could be the largest in history, we cry out to you. When we realize the death and destruction of the hurricane that just hit Texas, we cry out to you. When we hear the drumbeat from the madman in the East threatening us with his nuclear weapons, we cry out to you. In all things, we cry out to you, but differently than the world who has no hope of your protection. Thank you, Father, for your promise to preserve our soul. So that no matter what happens to this body we will continue as your beloved children for all eternity. No matter how bad it gets from violent weather to all-out war you are with us always in the palm of your hands. Thank you, Lord. We pray this in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore” (Psalms 121:7-8; also read the entire Psalms).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/4/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for always speaking to us in the morning. We cannot even imagine starting our day without first hearing from you. To honor you is to give you first place in our lives. We cry aloud for your forgiveness for all the times when we have not put you in first place. We pray that all we do will always honor and glorify you. From the music we listen to, to the videos we watch if they don’t honor you then lead all your children to stop listening and stop watching. We pray that all your blessed children have great discernment and if what they are doing doesn’t honor and glorify you then convict them to stop doing it. To turn away from it. We pray, Oh Lord, that everything we put on our new internet radio will honor and glorify you. From all the music, poems, prayers, preaching, and teaching to the nightly news (reports on how your children are doing around the world). We pray that it will give great encouragement to all your beloved children to stand firm. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (I Corinthians 10:31).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/3/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We fall down before you today in humble submission begging your forgiveness if we have ever failed to be a true and faithful ambassador for you and thy Holy Kingdom. We pray that we never get sidetracked in accomplishing our goal as an ambassador. Sidetracked by the world’s thirst for politics, power, prestige, popularity and other people’s opinions. Our only goal is to stand in your place upon the earth showing people how to be reconciled to the Father. From music, to preaching, to teaching and prayers let it all be done with the ultimate aim of reconciling the world to you, our Master and Lord. Everything we do must point to the Cross. To understand the sacrifice, the forgiveness, and the Way of reconciliation. Help us to always speak boldly for you allowing our light to shine brightly in a very dark world. We pray this in the Only Name above all other names, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God” (II Corinthians 5:20).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/1/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Help us, Father, to comfort others with the same comfort that you have comforted us. O how we remember those dark days when it was only you that we could call upon. You were there when it seemed like everyone else had abandoned us in our grief. Show us your comfort once again. Remind us, Oh, Lord that it is only a momentary affliction of our heart. That it will pass. The pain of loss will pass and we will be able to enter another day without that horrible empty feeling. Thank you Lord for being there for us filling us with your presence. Now we understand. We understand how to extend that comfort to others. By being with them in their time of anguish. Yes, simply by being with them. Holding their hands, giving them eye contact and sincerely listening to what they say. Then at the right time giving them hope as you gave us. A living hope that their grief will pass. Thank you, Lord. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God” (Isaiah 40:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/31/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for teaching us the measure of Love. A love that has no boundaries. A love that has no limits. Oh, how easy it is to say the words, but it takes a lifetime of perfecting it. We pray Father that we will never miss an opportunity to give of ourselves completely and unreservedly without expecting anything return. Exercising true agape love. To consider others needs more important than ours. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being our one true example. To sacrifice your life for the needs of the entire world. Let our individual sacrifices be counted worthy in the eyes of our Master not ever done for selfish gain or gratitude, but always in secret to everyone except the ones being helped. Indeed, this kind of love would let the world know that we are your disciples. However, it’s this latter point of keeping it secret in the public arena that seems the most difficult among your children in the age of social media. Please Lord help us to do so. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/30/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. No matter what happens in the world, every morning is good. The Psalmist words echo in our ears this morning as he said, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” We know Father that your righteous anger must be full as you witness man destroying this beautiful world that you have created to be our home in the universe. As it races about the sun we are seeing mankind’s devastating effects upon the world and a larger part of humanity. Suffering from one catastrophe after another. We pray this morning that you will be with all your beloved children encouraging them through your Spirit to stand firm and not be overcome by what’s coming upon the world. We pray for the unbelievers that you will restrain them in their immorality and open their eyes so that they can see your love. To see your love demonstrated by the men and women working to rescue, feed and shelter the afflicted. Give everyone hope allowing them to rejoice in the morning. We pray this in the compassionate Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalms 30:5).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/29/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Our hearts desire, instilled by you, Oh Lord is to help others and see them changed by your magnificent grace. We pray Father that your beloved children will not be influenced by the lukewarm, worldly church. Their influence to be immersed in the argument that has separated a nation. To take sides and allow your bright light to become nothing more than a mere flicker. We pray LORD that we will no longer conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. To become true children of God as bright lights in a very dark world. Not to take sides, but to show them a different Way, a way that leads to life, love, and liberty. We pray Father that all your children would experience the great joy of knowing thy perfect will. Your beautiful will to stay untainted from the present world. We pray this in the blessed and most powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/28/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Father, for your beautiful commands that have demonstrated to us how to live our new life in Christ. Although this has not been an exhaustive study of all thy commands, it has been enough to lay a firm foundation on which to build with the help of thy Spirit. Thank you, LORD, for each step of the way giving us a prayer to fully understand each command. Helping us to see that all your beloved children are not idle, but ever so busy serving you and one another. A true mark of Christianity. Yet, there are many who claim to be followers of Christ, but have remained idle, not working for their own bread to serve others and not growing in Christ. Many have become gossips, beggars, and recipients of welfare meant only for those unable to work. They have become lazy and disorderly not following the commands of God. We pray that we will obey you and withdraw from such. We pray this in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us” (II Thessalonians 3:6).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/27/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for our new life in Christ. A life not meant for solitude, but a life where we allow you to touch others through us. Where each of us are called to be an example for other believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. We pray Father that we will take heed unto thyself. To look at ourselves closely to determine if we are presenting to others our new life in Christ, walking in such a way that it will give us confidence in our own salvation. Walking in such a way that it will open the door for others to walk closer to thee. We pray Father that we will hold fast to the doctrine that we have received and not be like a rudderless ship tossed about by every wind of doctrine. Help us, Oh Lord to remember all these commands we have been studying and praying through to help us to be more like Christ, not that we have exhausted them, but have laid a foundation for all thy beloved children to build on through our continued spiritual growth in Christ. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee” (I Timothy 4:16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/26/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. The meaning of this text this morning has always held a special place in our hearts. It gives us an open window on how you feel about all your blessed children. You see their hearts better than us. Although they may be despised by the world, looked down on, ridiculed or made fun of, they have a special position before you the King of glory. Although so called backward people, slow of speech, and not so beautiful by the world’s standards, they have their own angel in heaven who always sees the face of God. We pray, Oh Lord that you will open the hearts of all your children to spend time with other believers that might be considered the least amongst us. For there is no greater honor than stopping what we might think we are so busy with and spending quality time with one of these so called insignificant “little ones,” not ever looking down on them, but to elevate them to our own supposed higher level. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/25/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray LORD that we forsake not the assembling of the saints, to participate in this blessed ordinance, given to the church. Let us never forget the price that you paid by offering yourself as an atoning sacrifice, of perpetual efficacy, on the Cross. A sacrifice of your body to pay the penalty for our sins, past, present, and future. To open a way to the Father through the new covenant of your blood shed on the Cross. We pray Father that as we come together to partake of this holy ordinance help us to truly examine ourselves being careful to repent of our secret sins asking You, Oh Lord for forgiveness to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. We pray that you would lead all thy beloved children to never participate in this Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come” I Corinthians 11:24-26).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/24/2017

We come ever so humbly into your presence today Heavenly Father. We are always at awe that you know the capacity of man to deal with his problems. How easy it is to allow anxiety and worry to immobilize us, robbing us of our joy and putting us in bondage to the enemy. How difficult it is for many of your beloved children to keep from adding all the real and unreal problems of the future to their plate causing deep emotional stress. We pray that all your children will trust you for the future, to believe in their heart that you will provide all their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. We pray, Oh Lord that we will also be good stewards of our money and not cry out to you for our daily needs when we have squandered our money on non-essential things that pleases our selfish desires. What joy it is to trust our future needs to you and only concern ourselves with today’s needs. We pray this in the wise Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:34).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/23/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for the many years of study in the Bible along with the scores of helpers, writers of commentaries, other learned brethren, and the indwelling Spirit to help us unlock the mystery, the true meaning of thy Holy Word. We recognize without the help of the Holy Spirit even all this would not be possible. For indeed it is thy Spirit that has helped us to hide thy Word in our hearts and bring it back to our memories as needed. Praise God for the assembled Church where godly men and women assemble together to teach and encourage one another in the Word. We pray that all thy beloved children would see the foolishness of attempting to study thy anointed Word completely alone with no help and the ignorance of attempting this without thy Spirit. We pray that we all spend the hours, days, and years of study needed to show thyself as approved workmen, rightly dividing the Word of truth. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (II Timothy 2:15).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/22/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray Father that you will give us great discernment, because your children cannot always discern the difference between trials, Satanic attacks, or hardships. Help us, Oh Lord, to consider and endure hardships as discipline from you, our Heavenly Father, as you have stated in your Word (Hebrews 12:7). We pray that we as true children of God would not despise discipline or allow it to overcome us. We pray that we would not cry aloud, but learn to endure it. We know that your wonderful discipline is not meant to destroy us, but to knock off the barnacles of the old sin nature. Although no discipline is pleasant at the time, help us dear Lord to have courage to stand erect and face them with strength and determination. Not to be overcome by exhaustion or worry, but to repent if necessary and to remove these obstacles from our path. We pray this in the loving Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees” (Hebrews 12:12).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/21/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. There is a great deal of anticipation today across the United States with the coming solar eclipse. Not knowing really what’s going to happen, Oh Lord, we just want to make sure we are filled with thy Spirit walking close to you. We are also mindful of our brothers and sisters, who because of their unrepented sin have become backsliders. We pray Father that we would not be harsh, overbearing, judgmental, or legalistic, but would learn to restore them in a spirit of meekness. That is, having great strength, but under control. We pray knowing it is easier for us to restore another brother or sister if we have been overcome by a similar fault or trespass so that we can help them to overcome their fault that has caused them to backslide. We pray that we remain in the spirit being careful not to be overtaken by the same trespass, not unfamiliar with its temptation. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted” (Galatians 6:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/20/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for another command with a promise. What is the devil capable of I am sure has occupied the minds of Christians for more than two millennia. We pray that you would lead thy children to draw close to you so that they can discern what comes from the old sin nature and what is really an attack from the devil. Thank you, Father, for this promise that when we resist the devil he will flee. Praise God. We pray that your beloved children will learn the many wiles of the devil of which many are designed to put them into bondage and then teach them how to resist him by proclaiming and believing the truth of who they are in Christ. As your beloved Son successfully resisted the devil by flinging your eternal truth at him, teach all of us the truth from thy Holy Word to be used in our sure defense against this vile enemy, the devil. We pray this in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/19/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Forgive us LORD for not redeeming all the time that a day holds, but to use some of that time in foolish endeavors. We know that there are many things in our modern world that pulls us away from our religious duty to walk worthy of our calling. Many forms of entertainment pull us in one direction then another, from movies to YouTube videos, from surfing the internet to becoming news junkies, from endless scrolling on social media to reading things of little consequence. Let us not foolishly justify this behavior by injecting a veneer of religious platitude. Help us to redeem the time. Let every activity of every moment in time bring glory to You, Oh Lord. Help us to remove those walls created by the infamous cell phone and converse directly with others allowing your light to shine through us. We pray that you will show all your beloved children once again how one moment in time filled with thy Spirit in Your presence can feel as though time has stopped as we commune with you alone. Help us to redeem the time. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/18/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, that we as your beloved children are no longer under the power of sin through faith. We no longer need to succumb to the popular teachings from the world that we are in captivity to our past life and unable to escape its influence. Let not thy beloved children ever say, “That’s just who I am, and I cannot change!” We pray Father that all your children would reckon their past life with all its learned immoral behaviors dead through faith. That they would truly believe that they can say no to sin in all its various forms and no longer allow it to have control over their lives. We pray that we would all consider ourselves as a new creation, alive in Christ, free from all the old behaviors. A new life where we become holy and righteous children. That the life we now live, we live for God through Jesus Christ our Lord. And it’s in His Blessed Name that we pray. Amen

“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:11).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/17/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, that you have given every true believer in Christ the gift and the seal of thy Holy Spirit, all possible because your beloved Son rose from the dead. We pray that you will impress upon every believer the absolute miraculous event of having thy Spirit to come and abide in us until the day we are taken up to heaven. Praise God. Not only is this the greatest gift imaginable, it is our seal of deliverance and protection from your wrath that will never touch thy beloved children. Knowing all this we pray that every believer would not ignore the indwelling Spirit, that they would not turn a deaf ear or refuse to listen, and that they would not disobey Him thus quenching or grieving thy Holy Spirit. On the other hand, we pray that every believer would delight in thy Spirit always seeking His direction allowing You to speak through Him. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Quench not the Spirit” (I Thessalonians 5:19).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/16/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Forgive us Father when we succumb to the wiles of the devil, because we have not put on the whole armor of God. Most of your beloved children have read about each piece of armor. Some have studied about each piece exhaustively, and a few of us have written about each piece of armor, but still have failed to put on the whole armor of God, all the time. Knowing that it’s the sure defense against the many wiles of the devil most of us still don’t consciously remember to keep the WHOLE armor of God on all the time. So, we pray that you convict all of us again, the necessity of putting on the whole armor of God, because we know that the devil is sneaky and will attack us when we least expect it. Moreover, many of his wiles attack the mental health and emotional wellbeing of your children. We pray that all your beloved children will learn once again how each piece of this heavenly armor will defeat all the wiles of the devil allowing us to become victorious soldiers of Christ. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/15/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come humbly before you seeking your grace and mercy. Oh, how we want that new man in Christ to be formed up in us. To always see things perfectly, the way you do. To walk in holiness allowing the good within us to have a profound effect upon humanity and most importantly to be pleasing to thee, our first love. Thank you, LORD, for showing us that this is only possible if we simultaneously put off the old man. Making sure that we always fill the void caused by putting off the old by immediately putting on the new, the new life in Christ. A life created in righteousness and true holiness. Thank you, Father, for giving us these holy commands to show us how to put off the old man and to put on the new. Oh, what a beautiful world it would be if we all did this; no longer hate, but only true love for all. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/14/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray Father that you help all your beloved children to know how to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you. Yes, you care very much how we treat our bodies, because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Open our eyes to the dangers of overeating or malnutrition, to the dangers of alcohol, to the dangers of psychiatric drugs, and prescription painkillers. We pray that we would all learn how to be good stewards of our bodies by not subjecting them to anything harmful or immoral, but learning how to eat healthy, exercise, and walk in holiness keeping both mind and body free from pornography or sexual immorality. Lead all thy blessed children to present their bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you, which is our reasonable service. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/13/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Open our eyes Lord so that we can see the harvest. To see those who have been made ready to hear the gospel. Those who have been made ready through tragic circumstances and conviction of thy Spirit. For indeed the field is ripe for harvest. We pray, Oh Lord, that you will send forth laborers into the field. Send forth all thy beloved children to have a real love for the lost, for those who been blinded by a false religion and for those who been taken captive by the power of sin. We pray that we would never miss an opportunity to demonstrate the love of God, to share the words of life, to be used by you for every divine appointment. Let us not run ahead of you or lag behind, but be ready to share when you lead us to speak forth thy words. Help us to look beyond the rough exterior or the dress of other world religions to a heart that’s been made ready by you, the Lord of the harvest. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:37-38).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/12/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for teaching us that there are no boundaries to your powerful love. Continue to teach us Father, although this love from you is beyond human words to describe the wonder and majesty of it, it’s not ever meant to be kept exclusively to ourselves, but passed on to others. A love that always seeks to flow from you, through us, to others. When others hate, curse, and despitefully use us or even persecute us we have discovered that it’s difficult to allow your love to easily flow through us to them. So, we pray Lord that you will help us to remember to sincerely bless them when cursed, to do good to them when they hate us, and to earnestly pray for those who despitefully use and persecute us. In so doing we will not stop your powerful love flowing through us to them. A love so powerful that it can cause the hardest and most vile heart to weep in repentance. Praise God. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/11/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We are reminded of how our hearts are so broken when others who may or may not be your chosen children cause division and upset the flock from teaching (or sharing) strange doctrines not really found in the Bible. Thank you, LORD, for giving us clear instructions through your anointed Word on how to deal with such people. Clearly, we are not to treat them as the enemy, because there is only one real enemy to our souls and that’s Satan and his demonic host. On the other hand, you have taught us to avoid such people. To not listen to their perverted doctrines. To not allow them to influence us. To not allow them to drive a wedge into our blessed fellowship with other likeminded believers. Clearly you have taught us to come out from among them, and if necessary to knock the dust off our feet as a testimony against them. We pray, Oh Lord, that we will continue to lift them up in prayer and always be ready to forgive. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them” (Romans 16:17).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/10/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What a joy to come into your presence knowing that you are the only constant in the universe. He who never changes. Your love for us remains steadfast. We pray, Oh Lord, that we never put a stumbling block before our brothers for whom you died, by causing them to sin. We pray that we never put unusual demands or expectations before our brothers causing them to sin. Help us to recognize the maturity level and the social/economic burdens of our brothers before placing additional or unusual demands upon them. Help us, we pray, to never be legalistic or demanding by putting additional weight upon our weaker brother. We pray that you will teach us to extend more grace to our weaker and less mature brothers giving them more time to grow. Help us to also understand and appreciate the social/economic problems of our brothers ready and willing to extend additional love and grace trusting you Father to bring forth the spiritual fruit and maturity. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way” (Romans 14:13).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/9/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today we are mindful that not all believers hold to the same beliefs. Some are immature and rather weak in their faith doing or believing things that are questionable. Because of their weak faith they are easily led astray. We pray Father that all your beloved children would not judge such people considering them the enemy, but accept them without further argument or disputations with the hope that in time through much love and counsel will come to the truth growing up to spiritual maturity. We pray, Oh Lord, that we would accept such into our fellowship knowing that you have died for all believers and that none should be treated like the enemy. On the other hand, give us great discernment and wisdom to know when to expel the immoral brothers from our fellowship with the hope and prayer that they would fully repent of their gross immorality. Even these would not be treated as the enemy, but a fallen brother. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations” (Romans 14:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/8/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh, how thy children should be so different from the world. Continually praising thee and giving thanks for everything in your Name as the world continually finds fault with others and being unthankful for everything. Oh, LORD we pray that you will lead us to always praise thee publicly and give thanks in your Name for everything even in the face of a very negative world. Let our sacrifice of praise be in both spoken words and music sung or played to the glory of God. Let our sweet melody be sung or spoken from the heart to show forth thy greatness before a perverse and wicked generation. We pray that you will always lead us to seek the good in everything giving praise and thanksgiving to thee. Oh, what a glorious testimony this is to a fallen world. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/7/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. No matter how difficult the circumstances are in our lives, it is always a good day when we come into your presence. We pray that we will always look to Jesus Christ your beloved Son to take encouragement when faced with life’s difficulties. Knowing that He blazed the trail as the author of our faith demonstrating how to stand firm believing that He would endure the pain and torture of the Cross. As the finisher of our faith looking beyond the horrific pain to the joy of being with the Father in Heaven. Oh, Lord, help us to always look to You as we face life’s problems knowing that you are always with us through the indwelling Holy Spirit. That nothing can separate us from your magnificent love. We pray we will always look beyond our present difficulties to the joy that awaits us in Heaven where there will be no more crying or pain. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/6/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, that you have always been there for us, through many long years of, often times, a perilous journey. Through all the ups and downs you have always given us grace to persevere. Praise God. Although the journey is long and you have taught us over the years how to lay aside those things that distract us and how to recognize and repent of those besetting sins, we still need your grace to patiently continue this race of spiritual growth, growing from one degree of glory to another. You have taught us that this race never ends until you call us home. No matter how long it’s been we are still growing, still learning to be all that you want us to be in Christ. We pray that you give all your beloved children patience to continue the race, not ever giving up, continuing our spiritual growth and pressing on toward the goal. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/5/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We pray for great discernment today for all your beloved children from around the world to identify the weight and their besetting sin that keeps them from running the race set before them. As each of us look deeply within to identify the weight, all those things that so easily distract us from our Christian duty and responsibility, give us strength and determination to lay it aside. Stop doing it. Stop allowing it to have such a large part of our lives consuming our strength and our time. We pray, Oh Lord, that you will open our eyes to identify those besetting sins that keep tripping us up, keeping us from running the race, growing spiritually and becoming all that you want us to be. What is that favorite sin that we don’t want to give up? Is it pride thinking we have it all figured out theologically or that we are the only one who hears clearly from You? Help your beloved children to identify and repent of their besetting sin and run the race set before them. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/4/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today we are mindful of our responsibility for one another as we come together. Our responsibility not to be critical or judgmental, but exhorting one another in love. Not to be fault finders or legalistic ready to sever our relationships, but exhorting one another in love. We pray that you will teach us how to exhort one another. To call them out not publicly or to others, but personally to the one falling behind in their spiritual growth by not putting off the old sin nature. Teach us, Oh Lord, to really care for every brother’s spiritual development by continually helping them to put on the new life in Christ and when they are lagging behind by embracing the habits of the old sin nature lead us to exhort or admonish them in love. We pray Father that every believer except this responsibility to exhort one another. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/3/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for teaching us these beautiful truths through thy Holy commands. Of course, as our Creator you know much more about our nature than we do, and what’s needed for our spiritual growth. You have taught us that we simply cannot grow spiritually all by ourselves, but need others to encourage and exhort us. And we also know that social media will not entirely meet that need. Therefore, we pray, Oh Lord, that you will lead us to a place of where your beloved children have assembled together to worship You. To a place where they have come together to learn through thy gifted teachers and pastors. To a place where we can use our spiritual gifts to build up your most holy church. To do so face to face where not only our voice, but also our body language is interpreted and responded to in love for building up and not tearing down. We pray, LORD, that you would open the door to such a place where all your beloved children can grow up together worshipping You, especially as the Day approaches. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/2/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter early into our prayer closet today, we rejoice knowing, that you’re always there. We never need to storm the gates of Heaven or cry in agony wondering if you’ll answer our plea. We don’t cast our thoughts into a far-off universe or a different dimension. Rather we enter our prayer closet and you’re already there. We come boldly to the throne of grace as a child unhindered runs to his father. There are no barriers and no permission slips needed. Our Father is never too busy to listen to our pleas, for it’s Your Spirit that dwells within listening to all we have to say. We never need to go far, just bow our heads in humble adoration as we boldly come before thee with great confidence that you’re listening to our every plea. To obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. What comfort to know that the Holy Spirit within and our Father in Heaven are One. Praise God. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/1/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for the great Scriptural promise of success if we don’t give up. Father you know we need to hear that promise today. We know that this promise is only for well doing or doing what is good for the sake of others. Admittedly it’s difficult when people don’t respond to our good works or when they spurn your gracious gifts. It’s disheartening when others reject our counsel or refuse to be reconciled to their brother in-Christ. It’s painful when so much time and effort is met with such little results for the progression of the Kingdom. We pray, Oh Lord, that you give us continued strength, wisdom and determination helping us to remember the great promise of reaping a harvest of souls for your glory. If we faint not, if we don’t give up. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/31/2017

Holy Righteous Father we come humbly into thy presence today. We pray that we should never seek our own glory, which is nothing short of vanity and pride. May all that we do be hidden from the stage of personal glory and pride. Let everything be done for thy glory alone. We also pray that you will teach us how NOT to provoke others. Saying or doing things that we know will hurt others by belittling, mocking, berating or criticizing will indeed provoke them to respond with anger or wrath. Help us to have a tight rein on our tongue and think things through first before speaking or acting in way that would provoke others. Father, help us never to be fault finders, but teach us how to extend grace and mercy to pass over a real or unreal trespass. Oh Lord, let us never envy the accomplishment of others, or their beauty or their wealth, which will open the door to desiring vain glory leading us to provoke them to inflate our own ego and pride. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another” (Galatians 5:26).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/30/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today we are contemplating, how conscious are we, that we are living in the Spirit? The Spirit of God is living in us! He is our Holy resident. We are always amazed that YOU, the only true God of Heaven, would live in us through the Spirit. Praise God. Knowing this should change our reality. Every moment of every day we should walk in the Spirit, allowing YOU to have full control of our lives. We pray Father that you will continue to remind us of this especially when we are communicating and interacting with others. Remind us of this when we are entertaining thoughts that are not acceptable to YOU, thus grieving the Holy Spirit. Help us to always put a tight rein on our tongues and follow the Spirit’s lead in everything we say and in everything we do. Let us truly walk in the Spirit at all times. We pray this in the most Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/29/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come ever so humbly into thy presence today asking that you help us to bring about peace between brothers and sisters who have separated after a war of words and hurt feelings. We pray that they both follow after those things that make for peace. Things such as, turning the other cheek, going the extra mile, forgiving a trespass, and having a tight rein on their tongue. We pray, Oh Lord, that warring brothers and sisters would not insist upon their own way, but be willing to give up their rights for the sake of peace. We pray that you would teach them to follow those things that edify others. Things that build up rather than tear down. Help them to look intently at the heart of the other individual and lift them up in the good things that are found. We praise you Lord for being a God of peace, forgiving us of our trespasses and reconciling us to you. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another” (Romans 14:19).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/28/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What a joy it is to land upon those commands that have meant so much to us in our spiritual journey. This command indeed is the sure antidote for stopping bitterness in its tracks and not allowing it to take root. Thank you, Father, for allowing us to get angry when we or our loved ones have been wronged. Thank you, LORD, for allowing us to display our wrath at gross immorality. But we pray, Oh LORD, that all this anger and wrath will be quickly dissipated and above all that it will not render harm or injustice to another individual. Lead us to project our anger and wrath NOT at another person, but only at the problem. We pray that our anger and wrath will not lead us to sin. We pray that you will help us to NOT hold onto this anger or wrath for we know that it can create division and bitterness that if left unchecked will create barriers and destroy relationships. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath” (Ephesians 4:26).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/27/2017

Good morning Holy and Righteous Father in Heaven above, we come ever so humbly before you today. We pray, Oh LORD, that you examine us thoroughly to see if there is any sin or hidden sin within us. Bring to light any trespass. Please, Lord let not this prayer be for others, but let it be for me. How often we want to remove the sin from our brother, but not seek to remove the sin from ourselves. We pray that your searching eye will expose to us even the slightest trespass. We pray that you will convict us, Oh Lord, to give up that favorite sin that we have somehow justified. Help us to see if we have ought with our brother or sister for whom Christ died then often sin is crouching at the door and its desire is for us and our ultimate destruction. Please Lord cleanse us from all unrighteousness and make us whiter than snow. Indeed, when sin is gone the joy of our salvation returns. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof” (Romans 6:12).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/26/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What magnificent wisdom you have, Oh LORD, that you can consider the heart of man and determine the possible negative result of a positive action. And through your infinite wisdom give us a solution to a potential problem. Don’t let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. That is, you have instructed us to do our giving in secret so as not to fan the flames of pride. Creating a terrible result of a good action, by giving to others. We pray that all thy beloved children would heed this blessed command and let all their giving be done in secret so as not to arouse the destructive power of pride the most damaging sin of all. Let thy children not be like the heathen who love to brag publicly for all their giving. Thank you, LORD, for promising us that all secretive giving will result in a Heavenly benefit to the glory of God. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth” (Matthew 6:3).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/25/2017

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thank you, Father, for your eternal wisdom given to your humble servants. To know the difference between what is good and what is best surpassing all excellency. Thank you, LORD, for the outward adornment of our beautiful and gorgeous wives, but thank you more for the inward adornment of their souls that brings us tears of great happiness. Oh, what a blessing it is to see the sweet and quiet spirit of our wives. To see and touch their gentleness from a heart more precious to us than all the outward adornments of costly gold. To see and experience the caring spirit is more enduring to us than all the costly apparel to accent their outward beauty. We pray that all women who call upon your Name would spend more time transforming the inward person to become all that You and their husbands desires, rather than spending so much money and time on outward adornments. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” (I Peter 3:3-4).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/24/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. How glorious is thy most holy Name. You have taught us not to complain, grumble, or be depressed when we are afflicted by life’s problems. We have discovered there are many types of affliction from mental and emotional abuse to physical maladies to afflictions caused by the enemy. Yet in all causes lead us, Oh LORD, to immediately enter our prayer closet bringing our petition before you alone. In so doing, in our spirit, we are lifted-up from this cesspool of affliction and enter the gates of glory. It is only you that can bring true healing to our tormented minds and afflicted bodies. It is only you that can overcome the enemy who brings forth all manner of affliction. Praise God. Yes, LORD, as your beloved children we never complain, but always pray and rejoice by singing Psalms and hymns to the glory of God. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms” (James 5:13).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/23/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for our new nature in Christ, which is so different than the worlds. Thank you for being patient with us for we do know and will admit that we speak many words before we think. Words that may hurt others. We pray for all thy blessed children to be good listeners, gathering all the facts, and even if necessary bringing it before you before speaking. We pray that they will understand that good listeners keep their minds clear from conjuring up a response and intent upon truly understanding what’s being said not only verbally but what’s being said through their body language. Help us dear LORD to be good listeners. We pray that all your children will not participate in gossip by spreading anything negative about another person through the many forms of communication in this modern world, but still use your Biblical admonition to confront others privately. Help us to be slow to speak. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God” (James 1:19-20).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/22/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. It’s always a joy to come into our prayer closet daily and have you lead us in our prayers. At the start, we have no idea even how to start our prayers until our indwelling Spirit intercedes for us. Praise God. We are simply the scribe in the hands of God; let your Name be praised for ever. We thank you Lord that you alone have established the structure in the Church and the family. Without structure, there would be chaos. We have already witnessed this in the fallen world who has openly rejected this structure of one man and one woman in the family unit with the man being the head as Jesus Christ is the head of the Church. In the same way, we reverence Christ so let the wife reverence her own husband. We pray that our great love for our own wives will encourage them to follow your structure for the home allowing the husband to lead with honor and respect. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband” (Ephesians 5:33).

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for the deep wisdom in all thy blessed commands to believers. Step by step you have taught us the power of love that binds all things together in perfect harmony. It’s not a choice it’s a command. We pray that you will open the eyes of all thy beloved children that this love is not like love portrayed in a fallen world, but a love of giving, and giving, without ever expecting anything in return. A love for the full benefit of the one being loved. A love mirrored on Christ’s love for the Church. We thank you LORD that this love flows freely from you, through us, to our beloved wife giving her what’s needed to become all that you want her to be. Help us all to love and cherish our wife as we do our own body giving her what we so freely give ourselves, dignity, self-respect, and honor. Let this love demonstrate to the heathen that live amongst us the true nature of love and sanctity of marriage. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it” (Ephesians 5:25).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/20/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come humbly before you today LORD submitting ourselves to you alone. As fallen humanity submits to the god of this age along with its many entrapments, we submit only to You our one true God. We pray, Oh Lord, that you will open the eyes of all your precious children to see the holiness and sacredness of the marriage estate and the everlasting bond that should exists between the wife and the husband. As the wife should submit to their own husband as we submit to our God, they both have the confidence that neither will be hurt, treated unjustly, or demeaned in anyway. We also have the confidence that both are being loved, nourished, and built up to become the cherished new person in Christ. We pray that every husband would learn to love their own wife as Christ loved the church giving it everything it needs to become all that it is called to be, the perfect bride in Christ. We pray this in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord” (Ephesians 5:22).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/19/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today we are mindful of the great falling away in our day. We have seen great work, but little power. We have seen great words, but little faith. We have seen great knowledge, but little wisdom. Our tears are like a flood for we are so grieved for the many children who call upon thy Name, but are being led astray, for they no longer believe in your great promise. They no longer believe in your promise to deliver us from the powers of darkness to the eternal light. They no longer believe that your calling to a new life is irrevocable. They no longer believe that your Spiritual gifts given to us have great power to open the eyes of the blind, to deliver those in bondage to the enemy, to bring healing to the afflicted, and to further your Kingdom here on earth. We grieve deeply for those in the lukewarm church and the many cults of our day. We pray that you will continue to strengthen us even if we stand alone. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance” (Romans 11:29).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/18/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What a joy it is to be back in our prayer closet away from all the turmoil and confusion in the world. We know that you are not a God of confusion, but of peace. Praise God. We have all been given our own Spiritual gifts to be used for building up the children of God, to become your most Holy Church. We pray that all your beloved children would use their Spiritual gifts and calling as directed by You, being careful to wait, to not run ahead or lag-behind. For we know with You, Oh Lord, everything is done decently and in order for the edification of all your children. We pray that all your churches would NOT allow anything in from the world that would mislead or profane thy blessed children. We pray that all your children would not be carried away by vain imaginations or any activity that would diminish the holiness of Your Church. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let all things be done decently and in order” (I Corinthians 14:40).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/17/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, that you have taught us so much from thy beautiful commands on how to conduct ourselves before others, something rarely taught these days nor practiced among our political leadership. We are deeply grieved from all the senseless mudslinging in every area of government and society. We pray that our speech would always demonstrate grace, unmerited favor, to all, not finding fault or making unwanted accusations. Let us always answer others not based on presuppositions or gossip from unnamed sources, but only on what can be observed. We pray that our speech would always seek the good of others and not fabricate the negative, which always destroys their good name. We pray that all our speech will be seasoned with salt speaking only what is helpful in building others up, not to fan the flames of pride, but to give credit where credit is due. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Colossians 4:6).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/16/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for showing us in Your Holy Scripture how to make our requests known to You. Also, the need of making the requests in the first place. Often your beloved children will not make the requests immediately or make the requests incorrectly. We pray, Oh Lord, that all requests will be made in faith with no worry or anxiety, but with thankful hearts believing You know what’s best and trusting You to give us what we need and not necessarily what we desire. We pray for all your blessed children to bring their requests directly to You prior to any attempt to work out the problem on their own. We have all been guilty of holding onto the requests believing that things will just work out on their own. We pray that You will lead us through the indwelling Spirit to bring all requests to You in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/15/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, for those special observances that you gave us. Observances to help us always remember the great sacrifice you made on the Cross for deliverance from the power of sin and evil. For indeed without death on the Cross, the broken body and shed blood, then there is no salvation. As we enter into this memorable event of partaking of bread and wine to symbolize your body and blood help us to look deep within examining ourselves of any bitterness, hatred, malice or any other besetting sin. Lead us to repent of all our transgressions seeking your forgiveness before participating in this most holy communion. Help us to remember if we want to receive forgiveness from You then we must first forgive others their trespass against us. Yes, Lord cleanse us of all unrighteousness prior to this sacred observance. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup” (I Corinthians 11:28).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/14/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. We come humbly into thy presence admitting that our knowledge and wisdom is but foolishness to thee. We pray that we will not deceive ourselves with our self-imposed knowledge and wisdom thinking that we are better than others. We understand that this kind of puffed up knowledge and worldly wisdom divides the church destroying many precious souls in the process. We pray that all thy beloved children will only seek your wisdom from above. Wisdom that never divides or destroys, but unites under the banner of Christ by not putting anyone on a pedestal of superior knowledge or wisdom. Lead us, Oh Lord, to never go beyond the simple truth by adding our puffed-up knowledge to garner a following or prideful recognition. Let us not deceive ourselves. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise” (I Corinthians 3:18).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/13/2017

As we enter our prayer closet this morning we are mindful that you always want what’s best for us. We know that violating the civil law, no matter how insignificant, can cause us many problems, damage our reputation, and put us at odds with You. We pray that no matter how difficult the civil laws are, especially those pertaining to driving, that we will obey and set an example for others to follow. Help us to never follow the bad example we are currently seeing among our political leadership, but to follow your admonition to do what’s right. We pray that You open our eyes and let us see when the civil law disagrees with your Holy Laws, for indeed we must listen to You, our God, rather than man. Help us to be model citizens obeying all the civil laws that don’t disagree with yours to be an example and a bright light in a dark and lawless world. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God” (Romans 13:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/12/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for always putting things into perspective for us and giving us opportunity to demonstrate our selflessness in a very selfish world. We pray for all your beloved children from around the world to take stock of what they have; let them be thankful for what they have and be ready to give out of their abundance. Oh, what a blessing it is to give out of our excess. Thank you, Father for not expecting us to give what we don’t have or giving to others to make our self poor. On the other hand, what a joy it is to see others helped. Wherever and whenever this is possible let it be done face to face to take the opportunity to go beyond sharing our physical possessions to sharing our testimony and needed counsel to those who are hurting. We pray that you give us eyes to see the great needs in our world and be ready to be used by You to address those needs. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise” (Luke 3:11).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/11/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. How glorious are all your ways. We have learned long ago that self does not want to die. It fights, it cries, it resists any attempt to live a totally selfless life. Only through the discovery of the most glorious Way made possible by You have we the desire to die to self. Thank you Lord for teaching us the more our old sin nature dies the more we realize our new life in Christ. Praise God. We pray that you will continue to point out our selfishness and the times when our old sin nature raises its ugly head. Convict us, Oh Lord, of every selfish act of putting our desires before You, the indwelling Spirit, and others. Remind us of the great joy of allowing the interest of You, the indwelling Spirit, and others to precede ours. Teach us, Oh Lord, to pick up our Cross daily and follow you knowing it’s the greatest joy and fulfillment of our lives becoming all that You want us to be. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/10/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you Lord for the wisdom from your Holy Scriptures. Over the years we have witnessed many people surrendering their lives and giving you glory when they see our good works. Thank you Lord that you have given each of us wonderful and powerful works that we can perform for your glory. It blesses our hearts to see talented musicians, vocalists, writers, bloggers, radio hosts, speakers, story-tellers, preachers, pastors, counselors, prayer warriors, helpers and many more letting their light shine before others to the glory of You, Oh Lord. Praise God. We pray that all your children will discover their gifts and use them for your glory. We pray that all your children will perform their good works utilizing their unique gifts not to bring personal recognition, but always to bring glory to You alone. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/9/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet this morning we are mindful of the many lessons we learned as young disciples, those wonderful truths that have stuck with us in our long journey. We think often of the journeys end, ushering us immediately into the glories of heaven. We pray for all thy beloved children from around the world to stop laying up their treasures here on earth driven by what others have and the constant bombardment of enticing advertisements. Help them to see the real joy that comes from our service to You in Kingdom work that’s laying up our greatest treasures in heaven. Treasures that are not consumed by age or lost through the wickedness of this world, but possess the eternal quality of unmeasured worth. We pray that all your children will see that our concentration on helping others, establishing true friends, and perfecting our love for one another is only a foretaste of our eternal treasures in heaven. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal” (Matthew 6:19).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/8/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What joy there is in our hearts today knowing that thy beautiful Word if followed would bring forth such great peace upon the earth. As your beloved children continue to lead us, Oh Lord, to proclaim it from the mountain top, and from sea to sea to convict self-righteous man of his evil communication that has turned the world on end. How far we have fallen that such negative, back-biting, evil communication can be listened to and accepted by the majority of the world’s population deeply saddens me. We pray that all your beloved children would not follow this example from the world, but follow your admonition to never speak unkindly about another individual; to never spread forth a negative report; and, to never allow malicious gossip to pass over our lips concerning others, especially about another brother or sister in Christ. We pray that all evil speaking from individuals and the media would be exposed. We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings” (I Peter 2:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/7/2017

Holy Righteous Father we come humbly before you this morning asking that you reveal the deeper meaning of thy blessed commands. We always desire to walk as holy and righteous children in a very dark and wicked world. We pray that we will never envy the success, the fame or the giftedness of others, but always lead us to accept what you have so graciously given to us. Help us, Oh Lord, to only envision our own calling, utilizing our own unique gifts, and being satisfied with the resources that you have given us to fulfill our destiny. If called to be a gatekeeper then help us to be the best gatekeeper we can be to the glory of God. We pray that you will lead us to encourage and congratulate others in their success, but always behind the scenes, for we know our sinful nature will always lead us to perform on the stage to share in their glory. We pray that our encouragement and congratulations are always sincere. Lead us to lay aside all envy. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings” (I Peter 2:1).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/6/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we come humbly into thy presence today we are mindful of all the uprisings and wickedness in the streets of our great cities. Never in our lives have we seen so much disrespect, mean spiritedness, and rioting against the established authority. Never have we seen such malicious, negative, and unsubstantiated reporting from the news agencies. Is real journalism dead? We can see clearly this is caused by the world and even many of your children turning away from thy Holy commands. We pray for all your beloved children to learn to disagree, but still demonstrate openly respect and honor for all men and especially those in leadership. We pray that no amount of negative reporting or backbiting would keep us from loving the brotherhood and showing proper respect. We know in our hearts, Oh Lord, if thy children would really fear you with a godly fear then there would be so much more love, honor, and respect in the world. We pray this in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king” (I Peter 2:17).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/5/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we face each new day we need strength from you, Oh Lord. To be left completely alone upon this earth with no family to care for our most basic needs, indeed is a frightening thing, if we only trust in the world. Although those widows who have lost even their own dear children and any existing relatives, they will not be frightened who have put their trust in You. Praise God. We thank you Father for these dear widows who have truly dedicated their lives to supplication, prayers and ministering thy Holy Word to others, who have always been a blessing not only to me personally, but to many others. We pray that all your beloved children will honor such women not only through their gifts, but through their sincere attention to everything they say. We pray that after they have been tested by following the biblical admonition let them be properly enrolled by the church to care for their needs if not provided by the government for which You have instituted. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Honour widows that are widows indeed” (I Timothy 5:3).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/4/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we come into our prayer closet today we are mindful of what’s happening in North Korea – another ballistic missile test. We know that fear has gripped that nation, because they don’t have you Father as their God. This may be the very same for some in our nation’s leadership. We pray on this 4th of July that you, Oh Lord, would bring forth calmness around the world and let everyone see your majesty and love. Let them see the love that cast out fear, let them see your love reaching out to humanity beckoning them to lay down their weapons of mass destruction and trust in you to make all things new. We pray that you, Oh Lord, would send forth a great missionary effort that would reach into every dark corner of this world overcoming the powers of darkness allowing your light to shine forth in the hearts of men, women, and children. We pray this in the most powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/3/2017

As always, we come humbly and respectfully before You our Father in Heaven asking only that you open our hearts and minds to the true meaning of thy Holy Word. We honor you Father with both our words and actions for indeed you are worthy. We know in our hearts that you will always remain righteous wanting the very best for us. Amen. We pray that all your beloved children from around the world would highly esteem, respect, and honor their earthly fathers in the same way as they do you. Although our earthly fathers may fall very short of our heavenly model, we know it does not relax the command that promises us a long life for our obedience. It grieves our hearts to see such little respect and honor among the world’s population where many are disrespecting not only their earthly fathers, but nearly everyone in leadership. We pray that your children would never be counted among this number. We pray that your children will respect everyone due respect, especially their earthly fathers as an example to the heathen who rage among us violent undisciplined beast. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Honor thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth (Ephesians 6:2-3).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/2/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Father for the Church, which you established. Granted, we know all churches today don’t hold to the sound doctrines expressed so plainly in Holy Scripture, which deeply grieves our hearts. We pray that the faithful remnant who hold to the sound doctrines, the summary of our faith, would speak up in faith and love to all the churches that they attend. We pray that you would strengthen their voices not only in the churches, but also in social media and on their websites proclaiming the whole truth, a summary of our faith, not just isolated words. Let their proclamation include repentance, forgiveness, putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ, growing from one degree of glory to another in holiness and righteousness, believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, our dependence on God alone who has given us everything we need for life and godliness, and the truth about the existence of both heaven and hell along with many other doctrines of our faith. We pray they will hold fast the form of sound words, the summary of our faith in sound doctrines. We pray this in the holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus” (II Timothy 1:13).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 7/1/2017

Good morning Heavenly Father. What a glorious day that will be in heaven when we meet all the souls that we have helped snatch from the fires of hell. Thank you, Father, for putting the Word of life in us to be held forth in our conversations and behavior. Thank you, LORD, for instilling in each of us the true simple, yet profound, Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for our new life where old things are passing away. We pray that all your beloved children from around the world would hold forth not the doctrines of men invented for the church, but the Word of life where behold all things become new (II Co. 5:17). We pray that the Gospel would always be on the lips of thy children speaking about your forgiveness that even removes the guilt of our transgressions making us ready for a new life in Christ, who paid for our sins upon the Cross of Calvary. Let us always speak about the blessed resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ from the grave paving the Way to Heaven and Eternal life. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain” (Philippians 2:16).
