If you haven’t noticed Canada is on fire and its smoke is invading the United States. If you haven’t noticed these viruses simply don’t go away but continue morphing into yet another plague. If you haven’t noticed lawlessness has gotten so bad that gangs smash and grab whatever they want with no hindrance from law enforcement. If you haven’t noticed corruption has gotten so bad it’s really difficult to discern who’s telling the truth. If you haven’t noticed what is now happening on the planet mirrors many of the plagues, woes, and wrath of God in the Book of Revelation. For example, the fourth bowl of God’s wrath seems strikingly familiar with what is happening now. The Bible says, “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory” (Revelation 16:8-9). It would be difficult to admit that we have not entered the Great Tribulation. I am convinced that God is leading me to help His children to survive the Great Tribulation. This will be the first of a series of articles on how to survive the Great Tribulation.

I am saying survive and not my usual saying to stand firm, because I believe when it gets really bad the survival instinct will kick in, so we want to ensure that we are still following God’s path, the path that will lead us through the Great Tribulation. If we are securely on His path, then we will continue praising God contrary to what happens. In this series of articles, we will take a close look at this path that God’s faithful remnant needs to be on during the Tribulation. We will look at a number of concepts or truths that are essential to keep us on the right path. Today, we will look at staying the course, not giving up, or turning away from God. You might be rather confident at this point thinking that nothing will cause you to lose hope. Well, we are entering a different day that will see powers beyond your current comprehension. The powers of darkness will have an unimaginable influence on all of humanity including those who think they are walking close to the Lord Jesus Christ. This power is so great that the entire world will actually worship the Antichrist with only few exceptions, that is, the faithful remnant. We are not talking about large movements or huge groups of believers. We are talking about just a small remnant. This goes well beyond political persuasion or just choosing the right side. It’s learning to survive the unrelenting power causing everyone to reject the truth and believe the lie. That’s unlimited power unseen in previous generations.

Most Christians have had a run-in with the powers of darkness causing them a great deal of distress by putting unwanted thoughts into their minds that must be dealt with immediately before they do something unbecoming of a Christian. Most believers in times past have dealt fairly well with these thoughts by casting them out and concentrating on righteous thoughts. However, as I said earlier, we are entering a new day now when the thoughts will be extremely powerful leading us to not only think bad thoughts, but vain imaginations and even thoughts that question our faith in Jesus Christ. When your little world starts to fall apart, and it will, then we must guard our thoughts. The temptation will be to find fault and strike back with impunity. The temptation will be to see things that don’t really exist to justify your behavior. For the first time in history, humanity is experiencing one conspiracy theory after another. Not to say they are all wrong or right, but Satan is a master in allowing you to see things that don’t actually exist. He is a master at deception leading the entire world to mistrust and hate one another driving a deeper wedge of unreconcilable divisions among the population. Of course, there is a reason for all this, which will allow his Antichrist to unite everyone back together again and pay tribute to him as the savior of humanity.

The Antichrist will have a little help, which I have written about previously. Artificial intelligence will take on the role of the image of the beast, also known as the Antichrist. The Bible says, “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Revelation 13:15). This worship of the image of the beast can already be seen as the world becomes ever more dependent upon technology to service all of life. We use technology already to pay our bills, make our purchases, and help us to organize our thoughts in many different areas from the school room to the business office or the publication desk. Most people today can’t even imagine a day without their cellphone and their online wallet or credit cards. Step by step humanity is becoming more dependent on technology for all of life. The next step will be our undoing. Artificial intelligence that is already able to speak through online searches, ChatGpt, and humanoid robots will one day soon make all truth mandatory with no dissent. Of course, all this so-called truth will be slanted toward the latest scientific research that is essentially governed by the powers of darkness. God will be removed from the equation altogether and replaced with a new god fashioned by Satan. Your worship will be mandatory, which will be rather easy to track your obedience to following their truth and your dependence on them for all of life, which will be your worship.

Make no mistake, this teaching that contradicts the truth in the Bible has been going on for many years now. Most Christians already believe in the teachings of psychology to deliver them from their mental problems without trusting in God exclusively to solve their problems through the new birth and transformation in Christ. Most Christians already believe in evolution believing that we can evolve into something completely different from our original design at the moment of creation, which allows many to believe that their original gender can change to their chosen sex. Most Christians believe in every scientific discovery as the gospel truth, even if it is diametrically opposed to God’s teachings in the Bible. To get back on the path of righteousness we need to only put God’s Word in our hearts through the indwelling Spirit. The more we walk on the path, the more we will see the many lies in the world masquerading as the truth. Admittedly, this will become ever more difficult when we see so many of our fellow citizens believing the lies and rejecting the truth. No one likes to stand alone on their beliefs and convictions, but as the faithful remnant, it will be necessary. We will no longer trust in the fallen world to give us answers for all of life, to do so will be our first step to trusting in God exclusively for all of life.

Finally, perhaps the most powerful effect on humanity will be blaming God for not delivering them from the Great Tribulation. This will have the largest impact on Christians living in the West and specifically America. Most Christians living in America have followed the false prophecy about a secret rapture that will deliver every Christian before the Great Tribulation, which was spawned in the eighteen hundreds by a little girl and popularized in 1833 by John Darby. Well, take a look out the window, the Tribulation has already begun and if you are fortunate enough to be living in these times, then you must overcome by staying on the path. You might not think too much about this at the moment, but when everything falls apart you will. Don’t fall for the big lie that will lead most Christians to blame God for not coming back to get them before things get too bad. This one lie will cause the great falling away in America, the seat of power for the Antichrist. It will turn most Christians away from trusting God and turn them to the powers of darkness who promise to build a brave new world for trusting in them exclusively. Let’s get back to the truth and learn how to survive during the Great Tribulation. We shall overcome by trusting in God exclusively.
