The world’s greatest disaster looms on the horizon like a grizzly bear awakening from his hibernation. It’s certain, it’s going to happen, we need to be ready. The time is short. Everything is pointing in that direction. The weather is getting more extreme producing more powerful and violent storms, earthquakes are increasing in number and severity, global epidemics are more plausible, the aggressiveness between competing ideologies is turning violent and the mad man in the East continues to threaten the United States homeland by launching a nuclear strike. The instability in the world today beckons for us to prepare. But how should we prepare? Preparing physically with the best laid plans for survival simply will not be enough to stand firm. It’s essential that we prepare not only physically, but emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. To do so will not only help us to survive a global disaster, but it will also help us to overcome the great deception, coming on the heels of a major disaster.
When tragedy strikes emotions will run very high among the world’s population. Although some people are more emotional than others, let’s be clear, we are all emotional beings. Trust me any kind of catastrophe will bring this out. Our goal will be to not allow our emotions to cloud our judgment or interfere with our thinking. It is well documented that overly emotional people in a crises situation don’t fare well. As statues, they become frozen in time, unable to move and unable to make the simplest of decisions. Some will begin to cry and not stop for a long time, while others are overcome by panic believing that they will be consumed by the dark forces of nature or the savagery of unchecked lawlessness.
When faced with disaster of any kind we must move on. It may be the most difficult thing you have ever done, because it may mean leaving something behind, something we are unwilling to part with, something we don’t have in our power to change. As we cry out to God, which every believer should do, it will help us come to grips with the reality of our situation and follow through with our plans or the new plans that He gives us. Embracing our spiritual dimension is extremely helpful. As Christians, we have been taught early on to care for the needs of others above our own needs (See Philippians 2:4). As we move away from our own selfish needs and desires by focusing on the needs of others the stronger we become emotionally. And the stronger we become emotionally in a crisis the easier it is to stand firm in our beliefs and not be led astray by the powers of deception.
Now we turn our attention to being prepared psychologically. This too will parallel closely to our spirituality. If we are depressed, anxious, or have any other number of psychological problems we will not be prepared to stand firm. Dear friend, let’s be clear, people who are depressed or suffer from other psychological problems will not stand firm against the world’s greatest disaster. Most will be easily deceived and led astray, because of their dependence upon psychiatric drugs. If a catastrophe interrupts their supply of psychiatric drugs it will cause most to turn entirely inward to their own selfish desires or supposed needs driving them into further despair and becoming even more unstable.
This will cause a great deal of problems in a world that’s already dealing with a global disaster. When millions of people, some in your own neighborhood, become unhinged causing havoc among the world’s population trust me it won’t be a pretty sight. Many will be suffering withdrawals for suddenly coming off their medication that will increase suicides, mayhem, and even violent attacks. Christian we need not be counted among that number. I would say it’s past time for those who call upon the Name of the Lord to start depending on God alone, who has promised to give us everything we need for life and godliness (See II Peter 1:3). I have written books, produced videos, and written a series of articles on two websites to show believers that we have biblical counsel to help us to overcome our psychological problems thus having no need for their prescribed psychiatric drugs. To stand firm during the greatest tragedy to ever strike the planet we must be psychologically prepared.
Finally, we turn our attention to being prepared Spiritually. Each of us who have had their names already written in the Lamb’s Book of Life are at different places in our spiritual maturity. There are some foundational doctrines that must be fully implemented into the believer’s life regardless of whatever stage of spiritual development you are at. It’s these things we will now concentrate on in our study, because without them standing firm will be most difficult, if not impossible. The first foundational stone is having a right appropriation of Biblical fear. As tragedy strikes fear will grip the world to such an extent that mass suicides and pandemonium will be common place. Fear will drive people to horde, to steal, and to kill for their own self-preservation. Lawlessness will prevail until the world government brings back order along with the great deception to cause the entire world to follow its new laws and to show allegiance to those in power.
The Christian early on has developed godly fear knowing that God is really in control and will not allow us, His beloved children, to be tested beyond what we can handle (See I Corinthians 10:13). Furthermore, He will give us the words to speak if we are brought before those in power. For the believer, he has learned long ago that we should not fear man, and what he can do against the body, but rather fear God alone, who has the power to throw us into the eternal flames of hell (See Matthew 10:28). As believers, we have also learned from Christian history how the early Christians overcame fear during their time of great persecution. We have learned that they stood before their persecutors with real love in their heart, for the one doing the deed, casting out all manner of fear. The Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love” (I John 4:18).
The second foundational stone is having a right appropriation of Biblical providence. As the greatest disaster ever strikes the planet, the believer knows in his heart that God is not asleep on the throne. He knows what’s happening. In fact, He has known about it since the foundations of the world before time began. Jesus Christ as the Alpha and Omega has known about this day since the beginning and as the Messiah spoke forth this prophecy when He walked amongst us. Well, if He has known about it then He has made provision to bring us through it; to providentially take care of His beloved children. Do you believe that? I hope so, because it is this biblical truth of providence that will see you through this very perilous time.
To put ourselves intentionally into harm’s way by resting only on the fact that we are under God’s providential care is to put Him to the test. Remember, Jesus Christ rebuked Satan concerning this when He said, “It is written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ (See Matthew 4:5-7),” Thank God that He has given all His children sound minds and wisdom from above to make intelligent decisions in the time of crisis. We must always seek that wisdom from God prior to making decisions or developing plans. To do so will assure us that we are resting under, and following His providential plan for our life and the life others in our care.
In summary, we must be prepared physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually if we hope to stand firm during the World’s Greatest Disaster. Let me suggest that you tuck this little article away somewhere and refer to it again when the time comes. I am not sure how much internet we will have at the time or much of anything else. God willing, I will try to keep my websites up as long as possible spreading the truth and helping the faithful remnant to survive. I will continue to broadcast the truth praying that it will help all His children from being led astray by the powerful delusion that will descend upon the planet. I believe that we are already seeing seeds of that deception. Lord give us eyes to see. Of course, none of this will do you any good if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior. But that can change: believe that He is the divine Son of God who died on the Cross and on the third day was raised from the dead and is now seated in heaven. Repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness so that you can be made into a new creation. This will be your first step towards preparation, for the world’s greatest disaster.
