Are you dressed in the garment of light or the shroud of darkness? As we stand before the beast on the stage of history, we must NOT allow him to dress us in the shroud of darkness. His goal is to turn you from the light by introducing you to the darkness. His goal is to take you by the hand and lead you to believe that you have the power within yourself to become whatever you imagine yourself to be in this fallen world. He will teach you that you can pull yourself up by your own bootstraps. He will even convince you that you are on the side of righteousness and fighting against evil. However, when the veil is lifted you realize that once again Satan is leading you to take a bite of the proverbial apple telling you that you can be as gods. The Bible says, “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5). The old devil was right about one thing, to disobey God will allow you to have an intimate relationship with both good and evil. Ultimately, it will put you on a collision course between the powers of darkness and light.

Satan’s goal is to dress you in the shroud of darkness. I call it a shroud because once you are fully dressed in it then you will be spiritually dead. You will be cut off and separated from your Holy God. Satan knows he cannot openly offer most people the ways of evil even if he promises them great power. Therefore, he must dress up the evil in the garments of righteousness, essentially calling evil, good. Satan has had many thousands of years practicing this, to perfect this art of deception in our day. As you stand before the beast dressed in the garments of light, he will attempt to put his shroud of darkness on you in the presence of the second religious type beast, (which is the vision I received before writing this article). So, let’s work together to interpret this vision and specifically how Satan will deceive the whole world to accept this shroud as something good for mankind. Perhaps the first key in our interpretation is that the religious type beast is clearly involved by handing the black shroud to the beast to dress the individual that’s already dressed in a beautiful garment of white light, that appeared to shimmer in my vision. Although the vision was shocking and quite disturbing, we must continue our quest to determine what God is attempting to teach us in this vision.

Let’s take a closer look at this beautiful garment of white light, that appeared to be shimmering. This garment signifies what Christ did for us when we made a conscious decision to follow Him in His death and resurrection. We heard the good news and accepted it believing that we had been forgiven for all of our past transgressions. We believed the promise that He would make us into a brand-new creation. Wow, for a short moment in time we were on the proverbial cloud nine. Never had we felt so free. Never had we ever felt so clean through the power of forgiveness. We could not wait to go tell our family and friends what Christ had done for us. Could this be for real? For the joy and excitement was beyond anything we had experienced before. Then something happened. Why didn’t other Christians feel like us? Why did evil start to creep back into our lives? We discovered soon enough that the evil one was trying to rob us of our great joy. Growing spiritually and trying to listen to the voice of God was more difficult than we had anticipated. It was not long before even some of our old emotional and psychological problems began to re-surface. Where was the Biblical counsel? Where were the promises? As I write this, I weep that there are many Christians in our churches asking these very same questions today. What started as a beautiful garment of white light was now looking more like the shroud of darkness. The shroud was used to wrap up a corpse, thus signifying in our vision becoming spiritually dead and separated from a Holy God

Now back to the vision: This shroud of darkness that came from the hand of the second religious type beast should give us all pause. Although this shroud of darkness signified separation from a Holy God and putting us at the mercy of Satan, we can put a stop to it. We will discover together how we as God’s children can reject or refuse the shroud of darkness offered by the second religious type beast. If this religious type beast is representative of all the religions in the world then they must all agree. If we can discover this agreement, then it will help us to interpret the vision and learn together how to stand against Satan and his beast. I believe one thing that all modern religions tend to agree on is that it’s acceptable to seek counsel from the world’s psychiatrist and the use of the latest drugs designed supposedly to cure your emotional and psychological problems. To do so will destroy your trust in whatever god you pray to. It will lead you to cross the line and put trust in your ability to solve your problems without God’s help exclusively. The moment we take God out of the equation then we freely accept the shroud of darkness from the hands of the beast, which will sever all meaningful relationships with our God. As Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden for desiring to become as gods, we too will be driven out of His presence unless we repent.

So many in our day have the label of being a Christian and may be actively involved in their church, yet don’t have that intimate relationship with their Creator. They don’t hear the inner voice of the indwelling Spirit and they still struggle with many of their old sins. They don’t feel much like they are dressed in the beautiful garment of light. The good news is it’s not too late to resist the shroud of darkness by trusting in God exclusively for all of life and trusting Him to fulfill all of His promises. When you do then the joy of your salvation will return as God restores His relationship with you. Dear friends, it’s time to raise a banner that says, “Come Out from Among Them.” It’s time to learn how to trust God for all of your emotional and psychological problems. It’s time to raise an army of righteousness to teach God’s truth from His Word in the Bible. It’s time for the faithful remnant to arise as the children of light teaching lukewarm Christians how to throw off the shroud of darkness that was given to them by the lukewarm church, representing the second religious type beast. Time is running out! We must act now while there is still light for the darkness is fast approaching. Repent now or join the sons of darkness in receiving all the plagues, woes, and pandemics that are clearly in the process of being poured out upon fallen humanity.
