The Apostasy Exposed

At the last Trumpet, the coming of Christ, and the last Judgment many tears will be shed over the words plainly spoken by the Lord, I never knew you, away from me you evildoers! (See Matthew 7:23) In the twinkling of an eye the apostasy will be exposed, the veil will be removed, and millions will realize that they had fallen away. What a horrible day that will be. In the Spirit I can hear the cries of anguish and the heart stopping screams of those who proclaim their innocence. Even their good works could not save them.  How could they not be “known” by the Lord? How could they be so blind to the truth? Yet, we now live in a day where millions are unwilling to see their true condition. They have somehow tricked their mind into believing they are known by the Lord, but have become a part of the great apostasy. To shed light on the apostasy we need to take you back to the beginning. We need to go back to a time before social programs, public education, mental health professionals, and a proliferation of drugs engineered to solve every emotional and psychological problem known to man. We need to return to a simple time when Jesus Christ was all things to all men. He came to a hurting people ravaged by a host of wickedness casting people into deep emotional and psychological problems causing bouts of erratic behavior, physical mayhem, and in extreme cases demonic possession. He came to a people hungry not only for bread but for the bread of life as they stumbled aimlessly behind their religious leaders. Their blind guides where leading them into a pit of greater confusion causing them to put their trust in hollow and deceptive philosophies, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world. (See Colossians 2:8) On the other hand, Jesus Christ came proclaiming that they should put their trust in Him alone to lead them into a new everlasting life free from the heavy weight of their captivity. Spirit Counselor

Today we continue a series of articles that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. We have all been counseled at one time or another by a Father, a Mother, an older brother or sister; by a friend, a pastor, a Christian counselor and perhaps even by a so called professional counselor, who is gaining recognition and authority in today’s world. My question, however, is how many of us actually receive ongoing counsel from God’s Holy Spirit? Before we answer that question in the affirmative let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into a deeper understanding of His work in us. Every true believer in Christ knows with all assurance that we have received a gift of the Holy Spirit to reside in us throughout the remainder of our journey here on earth. He is not just a Holy Visitor but a Permanent Resident that will never leave us nor forsake us. This Third Person of the Trinity is at all times connected to, in relationship with, and at one with both the Son and the Father. What an all powerful love to be with us, to reside in us, throughout all of life during the best of times and the worst of times. Continue reading Spirit Counselor

Finding Answers to Life’s Problems

Today we continue our series of articles that proclaim that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. As the Church prepares to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, unfortunately many in the world don’t feel much like celebrating. A dark shadow has been cast over the world from an increase in rampant lawlessness to the destabilization of other nations. The stress level of the world’s population is off the scale due to fear of catastrophic natural disasters, impending pandemics, the possibility of world war, or an increase in bloody persecution of Christians. The world is faced with a multitude of problems. In our struggle to walk as children of light in a dark world we have all lost many battles to the old nature and the enemy. Many Christians who are burdened with life’s problems find little accurate and authoritative counsel from others. For many they find little comfort or direction from the Bible which has resulted in a life of bondage to emotional and psychological problems forcing them to the world’s counselors to find a cure. Often times in desperation they have readily accepted the remedy of psychotropic (mind altering) drugs leading to life of addiction, other dependence, and spiritual depression. By God’s grace I want to spare you of that. Continue reading Finding Answers to Life’s Problems
