The Bible says, “Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8b).” The answer is not a lot for most in the later days will allow many things to impede their faith. Although there will be a faithful remnant, I am sure that their faith will be mocked by the world. It will seem inconsistent with reason and against all the established norms of a pagan world. Unlike the faithless who had long given up their faith, they will continue to cry out day and night for God to vindicate them by righteously judging their oppressors. They will continue to cry out asking God to fulfill all His promises, especially the one that does not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can handle (See I Corinthians 10:13). Over the course of time they have learned well the things that impede their faith, being careful to resist them at every point. So, what are these things that impede our faith? Today we continue a series of articles that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. There’s coming a time when the entire world will be united behind the devil’s representative here on earth, the Beast. Before that can happen every religious and philosophical thought must be brought to naught in the eyes of the world. They must all appear divisive, counterproductive, and worthless in man’s quest for perfection in a new age of enlightenment. All world religions and spiritual quest of a higher power must be soundly defeated in order to bring the entire world to the altar of the Beast. No longer would man trust in God exclusively. When one looks intently upon the world stage it becomes obvious that the old Devil is dividing the world’s religions by ruthlessly pitting one against another raising up one crusade and then another. Over the Centuries, Millions have died in the name of religion while the world grows ever more noxious and repugnant toward anything called god. Furthermore, it has turned many away from hearing the Gospel when they see the devilish division amongst those who claim to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. George Whitfield wrote in his journals, “What infinite mischief have needless divisions occasioned in the Christian world! Divide et impera (divide and conquer) is the Devil’s motto.” Continue reading What is the Devil’s Motto?
Today we continue a series of articles that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. We have all been counseled at one time or another by a Father, a Mother, an older brother or sister; by a friend, a pastor, a Christian counselor and perhaps even by a so called professional counselor, who is gaining recognition and authority in today’s world. My question, however, is how many of us actually receive ongoing counsel from God’s Holy Spirit? Before we answer that question in the affirmative let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into a deeper understanding of His work in us. Every true believer in Christ knows with all assurance that we have received a gift of the Holy Spirit to reside in us throughout the remainder of our journey here on earth. He is not just a Holy Visitor but a Permanent Resident that will never leave us nor forsake us. This Third Person of the Trinity is at all times connected to, in relationship with, and at one with both the Son and the Father. What an all powerful love to be with us, to reside in us, throughout all of life during the best of times and the worst of times. Continue reading Spirit Counselor
Today we continue our series of articles that proclaim that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. As the Church prepares to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, unfortunately many in the world don’t feel much like celebrating. A dark shadow has been cast over the world from an increase in rampant lawlessness to the destabilization of other nations. The stress level of the world’s population is off the scale due to fear of catastrophic natural disasters, impending pandemics, the possibility of world war, or an increase in bloody persecution of Christians. The world is faced with a multitude of problems. In our struggle to walk as children of light in a dark world we have all lost many battles to the old nature and the enemy. Many Christians who are burdened with life’s problems find little accurate and authoritative counsel from others. For many they find little comfort or direction from the Bible which has resulted in a life of bondage to emotional and psychological problems forcing them to the world’s counselors to find a cure. Often times in desperation they have readily accepted the remedy of psychotropic (mind altering) drugs leading to life of addiction, other dependence, and spiritual depression. By God’s grace I want to spare you of that. Continue reading Finding Answers to Life’s Problems
Out of nowhere a tornado strikes un-expectantly in the Dallas area, while England is submerged under the worst flooding imaginable, then there is the constant threat of terrorism, unknown plagues, or lawlessness in the streets of America. The stress is beyond measure as more people line up at the counselors office or stock up more food and ammo to prepare for the inevitable. And if we are honest many of us or the people we know may already be reaching their breaking point. As we enter a New Year then wisdom says we must insulate our self with the pure teaching of God’s Word now before we reach our breaking point. Continue reading Breaking Point
