God is glorified for many things, but we don’t often think about God being glorified in His righteous judgment coming now upon the earth. God since the beginning has always been glorified when His chosen people followed the path that was laid out for them in loving obedience to His commandments. The Bible says, “Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified” (Isiah 60:21). God brought forth His commandments to show them the path of righteousness and the branch of His planting. This branch looked forward to the salvation of the whole world, a people in distant lands walking in righteousness to the glory of God. God’s work was the gift of His beloved Son to make propitiation for the sins of humanity (I John 2:2). God’s work was the glorious transformation of fallen humanity in Christ by putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 4:22-24). Furthermore, the God of creation would be glorified as His beloved children would let their light shine through their good works (Matthew 5:16). In time, they would also learn how to glorify God in their body and in their Spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:20). Conquering the Evil From Within
As we approach closer to the end, almost everyone is looking at the evil around them. Very few, unfortunately, look at the evil within themselves. There is no better time than the present to examine the evil lurking in each of us. Remember, that each of us will be judged by a most Holy and righteous God. I must say in the beginning this will not be a popular topic, for looking within can be the most humbling and humiliating experience of our lives. However, it is much better to do it now, rather than being totally exposed and humiliated at the throne of the Almighty. Now, you will have an opportunity to change. When the last trumpet is sounded or if you experience an untimely death, then it will be too late. So, if you are willing to take this journey from within let us proceed. The Holy Spirit will be our guide. He will take you to places that you could never have imagined. Hopefully, it will cause you to have many hours of self-reflection. My hope and prayers are that all who claim to be Christians will take this journey allowing the indwelling Spirit to bring deep conviction to their souls. Let’s begin. Trust in God’s Loving Providence
As we near the end of another year our minds are focused on the future and what it will bring. We may even look back on what we and the world have gone through with a great deal of trepidation. Even a blind man could see the horrible consequences of a world gone mad. Many appear to be on the verge of insanity doing the unthinkable, while others have become slaves to their technology or the free flow of drugs to control the masses. Humanity is in a sad state of affairs as they are being pulled from pillar to post with every tick of the clock. Time has become the new master demanding its allegiance, which is casting humanity further and further into the depth of despair. There is one underlying problem that is leading humanity to self-annihilation. All the governments in the world cannot stop it. All the self helps, and drugs cannot stop it. All the technology and advanced artificial intelligence can’t stop it. Only one thing can, trust. We must learn, once again, how to trust in the loving providence of God. Satan Tightens His Global Control
Oh Lord, please break the hold that Satan and his powers of darkness have on the world. Last week we wrote about how unchecked emotions or the old sin nature was leading the world into utter chaos. Today, we will write about how Satan and the powers of darkness are tightening their grip on humanity leading them to think and do the unconscionable. This hold on humanity will cause untreatable suffering, illnesses, and even death. This hold on humanity will cause many to do and say what they normally wouldn’t. Many are being pushed beyond their breaking point, either going stark raving mad, on the verge of insanity or committing suicide. Everyone will be affected to some degree even if they claim Jesus Christ as their Savior. These will be dark days indeed when everything seems to be falling apart. We have already seen this in today’s world where someone will ruthlessly slash young people in their sleep for no reason and where another will buy a gun, then unmercifully kill his workmates in cold blood. There is not a day that goes by where we don’t hear about how people act as if they are being controlled by the master of evil and the powers of darkness. When the Witness Stops Witnessing (Video)
Let me remind you that the testimony of the witnesses is so strong it’s like fire coming forth from their mouth to destroy the arguments of those who come against them (Revelation 11:5). Their testimony is like our testimony, which is what Jesus Christ has done for us. The Bible says that there is great power in the message of the Cross and specifically our testimony (I Corinthians 1:18).
