Most of humanity is meandering toward hell and are completely oblivious about what they are doing. Most Christians have locked up the Book of Revelation, seeing it as only a future prophecy with no relevance for the modern world. On the other hand, there is a segment of Christians who believe that all the prophecies in the Book of Revelation have already been fulfilled with the reign of the Caesars, the persecution of Christians, and the world empire of ancient Rome, seen as Babylon the Great. For many years, I have believed that the Revelation is relevant for every period from the First Century until Christ returns in glory just before the end of the world to rapture up His children and usher them into eternal glory. I have written many articles on every plague, woe, and the bowls of God’s wrath in the Revelation to demonstrate their relevancy for each period throughout Christian history. I have written about the first woe (Revelation 9:1-11), “The Silent Pandemic of Mental Illness” and the second woe (Revelation 9:12-21), “The Muslim Invasion” that has adversely affected humanity. If we open our spiritual eyes, we can clearly see that the trumpets and the bowls of God’s wrath have taken place in the past, in our current day, and soon to take place. The Book of Revelation is dynamic for all of Christian history and was never written to be static for just one period in time. Although each Christian epoch was written as if it were the last, I firmly believe that hell is at the gates, and I am compelled to give one last warning to Christians living now. The Sins of the Mind
As God’s children, we must recognize the sins of the mind, so we can overcome them. Most every true believer in Christ recognizes the outward sins of what we do and what we say. However, very few recognize the sins of the mind, which encompasses every thought and every imagination. Yes, we will be held accountable for every unrighteous thought and every vain imagination not dealt with properly. Simply put, they must be cast out of our minds immediately, less than a nanosecond. This will take a lot of hard work observing every thought or imagination, deciding instantly if it’s evil, then successfully casting it out, if necessary, again and again. The good news is that we can trust in God’s grace to be with us every step of the way, ready to forgive every trespass after we have cried out to Him in true repentance. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that every unrighteous thought and vain imagination can be seen as committing the trespass in our hearts. Simply put, inwardly thinking about committing the trespass or allowing your mind to be carried away with the vain imagination is the same as doing it, actually committing the trespass. So, let’s look closely at the sins of the mind most often overlooked to our own detriment. Continue reading The Sins of the Mind
The Two Witnesses in Revelation (Video)
Most Christians are familiar with the two witnesses in the book of Revelation, even though they may prove to be an enigma. To help us understand their witness we need to listen to the angel that opened their eyes to the problem that will face the Church in each age from the First Century until now. The angel accomplished this by having the two witnesses do a couple of amazing things before they were allowed to witness. The Two Witnesses in Revelation
They must measure the community of the faithful who correctly worship their God and then measure everyone else who is not worshipping God correctly but is following the world (Revelation 11:1-2). This would be a wake-up call to the true condition of the Church. Almost from the beginning, they had lost their way as the Church integrated the world’s philosophies and teachings with God’s beautiful truth. False doctrine had entered the Church. These two witnesses, representative of all God’s faithful witnesses in every age, will continue to witness His beautiful truths to fallen humanity. They would also go to the heart of the problem and witness directly to the powers of darkness who were causing God’s children to stumble. They would carry God’s prophetic message to the world’s leaders and the many false prophets in every age since the time of Christ. Continue reading The Two Witnesses in Revelation
We Are Forward-Looking People (Video)
There is something uniquely different about God’s children. We rarely look back either to reminisce or painfully evaluate past failures. We are a forward-looking people, a true anomaly in the modern world. This is something fallen humanity would love to experience all the time. However, if they are honest, they spend a great deal of their time looking back. They look back not only to evaluate past failures or reminisce but to do something far more damaging.
