Where is the joy and excitement we once had when we first came to know the Lord Jesus Christ? For many, they feel its been lost forever and whatever joy or excitement they do experience, it’s like a meteor lighting up the night sky for one joyous moment and then disappearing. So how do we keep that joy and excitement alive, especially in our older age when we are fraught with illnesses, physical limitations and unusual maladies? How do we keep it alive when we are facing various trials and tribulations? The simple answer, which begs for an explanation, is get back in the race. Unfortunately, many well many Christians are still sitting on the sidelines allowing Christianity to become little more than a good habit with poor results. So how do we leave this quagmire of constant learning without meaningful application; how do we return to the joy of our salvation where every day is a new day in the Lord filled with unbelievable excitement? Get back in the race. The Bible says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2). From the Introduction
As the author of these prayers, I have simply been the scribe. I had the privilege to sit at the Master’s feet every morning while in the Spirit allowing Him to dictate the needs and the direction of the faithful remnant living during these perilous times. These prayers are built on one another, as you progress throughout the year you will discover that they are woven together like a divine tapestry, with one eye on world events and the other on the sacred texts of God’s Word. These prayers came from my prayer closet guided by select biblical text, all 127 commands found in the New Testament, and many of the “one-another” Statements. These are prayers to strengthen your walk of faith in a hostile world.

Our article today is “The Blessed Hope.” Today we continue our series of articles that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. As we fast approach the end of days the stress on all of humanity is increasing exponentially. This stress caused in large part by the intensity of natural disasters is having a profound effect on the human psyche causing many to lose hope. Hopelessness has trapped many into a life of endless psychological counseling and psychiatric drug addiction, while many others have turned to a life of crime in an attempt to recoup their losses. I am afraid we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg with strange and erratic behavior with a growing sense of hopelessness to contain it. From individuals eating the face off another individual to running head long into traffic, almost no one is pointing their finger at the increasing demonic influence on humanity. If that were not enough, very many people are losing hope in their elected leaders to solve the world’s problems of mounting debt, staggering unemployment, global terrorism, and a real threat of war. As nation states teeter on the brink of bankruptcy with the fear of unchecked anarchy the world is progressively losing its hope. Hopelessness reigns. Continue reading The Blessed Hope
