Christian, Hold the Line Empirically

Fundamentally, through observation and experience, Christians can hold the line against the works of the devil. This is not a theory or pure logic; it is an empirically tested method. There was One who came beyond time and space to show us the way, a way that has all been lost in our modern age. We live in an age of theories and logic. We have come to rely upon our highly technological age to chart our path. We have bowed down to the so-called proven theories of the Scientific Age. All this is leading humanity further and further into darkness. To chart our own path, will always lead us into satanic bondage, and further away from God. Our observation started two thousand years ago by following Jesus Christ on the dusty trails of Judea and then continued by following the writings of those who originally followed Him. We followed their experiences in putting off the old life, which barred the way of the devil. Then we followed their written experiences of putting on the new life in Christ, which overcame the works of the devil and opened a new horizon. This has all been lost in the new age that’s leading the entire world into slavery to the powers of darkness.

In a previous blog article, “The Coming Storm” I took a critical approach to the problems facing the world and humanity in particular. Sadly, most are not aware of the powers of darkness and how they are leading them further into darkness. They are not aware of the wiles of the devil that’s constantly tripping them up and leading them into one tragic circumstance after another. They are unaware that Satan is orchestrating their demise by leading them to trust in their own unproven methods to deliver them from the horrors of life. They are unaware that by walking in darkness they are destined for the abyss of eternal damnation. Join with me as we learn how to hold the line against the powers of darkness so that we can walk in the light of God’s glory. This is an empirically tested method that has worked for believers since the First Century. Unlike the unproven methods in the world that promise deliverance from your problems, we will present to you a greater power to deliver you from your old life and usher you into an unimaginable life of divine glory. Unbeknownst to the fallen world this power is in the Cross. This great power is beyond your wildest imagination and hidden from the wise in every age.

This power from above can deliver you from every psychological problem known to man. This great power can deliver you from the wiles of the devil that has captured so many souls in his web of deceit. This deliverance begins with one little five-letter word, faith. This is a remarkable word because it not only believes the facts, but it also trusts this truth with our entire life. The fact is, that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, born of a virgin, who came from heaven above to show us the way to eternal life. The fact is, Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins and was raised on the third day to give us a new life in Christ. To hold the line against the powers of darkness we believe these facts as truth and commit our lives to follow the Way given to us by Jesus Christ. To offer up our entire life to following the Way takes faith. The first step in following the Way is dying to self, a step that most modern-day Christians have not taken. This is proven by the fact that they still seek guidance from their counselors of psychology and the ever-changing truth from their scientists. They have not died to self and all that the powers of darkness are offering to the fallen world. Dying to self must be the first step or we are still spiritually dead in our trespasses and destined for the fiery pits of hell.

So, how do we take the first step and die to self? We stop listening to and trusting in the fallen world to solve our problems. We reject their counsel and their so-called discoveries that are diametrically opposed to Holy Scripture. Believe me, this will take faith because the whole world has been blinded by their deceptive lies. Once you have successfully turned away from the world of lies, you are ready for the truth on how to overcome the old sin nature that has caused most of your problems. The good news is, it begins in the mind where Jesus Christ has given His beloved children, who have believed the Gospel, the power to say no to their evil thoughts and their vain imaginations. How can we say no unless we first recognize the evil thoughts or vain imaginations as a trespass against a Holy God? This is accomplished by reading and memorizing the Holy Scripture written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God. Once you accomplish this the indwelling Spirit can and will bring it back to your memory, so that you can immediately say no to the trespass, evil thoughts, or vain imaginations. It is essential that we don’t dwell on evil thoughts or vain imaginations for more than a millisecond. This is dying to self. In time you will discover how important it is to guard your eyes and your ears from all the corruptible things in an evil world.

The second step of entering our new life in Christ is to put on our new life. This must work in conjunction with putting off the old life, by dying to self. Simply put, we must replace the evil with the good. In the letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul gives us a number of illustrations of putting off the old life and in its place putting on the new life in Christ (Ephesians 4:17-32). This is not just playing church where you mimic the behavior of other so-called believers for one hour on Sunday and then follow the crowd for the rest of the week. As believers in Christ, we put off the old life and walk in our new life in Christ every moment of every day. This is where we will need the help of the indwelling Spirit to show us the path forward and how to apply Christ’s teachings to our life every day. When we successfully put off the old life, dying to self, and put on the new life in Christ, then we will be growing spiritually from one degree of glory to another. If you are not growing up in Christ, then you will be slipping back into the world and under the powers of darkness. You will once again begin to entertain their ungodly counsel and follow their deceptive lies. Unfortunately, most so-called believers have made their confession at the altar, then returned back to the world to be manipulated by the wiles of the devil.

Finally, if you are reading this, then let this message first apply to you. Those who have successfully journeyed thus far have discovered through observation and experience that it not only works but it brings us to the threshold of glory with peace and joy that defies understanding. Spiritual growth in Christ is an empirically tested method for those who have followed the Way by believing the Gospel, dying to self, and living wholeheartedly for Christ. The question is, what will you do with this information? Will you share it with every member of your family, or will you be satisfied by watching them burning in hell for all eternity? I pray that is not the case. The empirical evidence is true. Will you let Satan and the powers of darkness keep you and your family in bondage or will you hold the line against his wiles and his malicious lies? I sincerely hope and pray that you hold the line and experience all that our risen Lord offers in this life and the next, for all eternity. If you are truly happy with your life with no anxiety or depression and experience all joy and peace that defies understanding, then feel free to ignore this message. However, I believe if you are not growing up in Christ every moment of every day, then God sees you as very much in need of these words, and you ignore them at your own peril

When the Witness Stops Witnessing (Video)

Let me remind you that the testimony of the witnesses is so strong it’s like fire coming forth from their mouth to destroy the arguments of those who come against them (Revelation 11:5). Their testimony is like our testimony, which is what Jesus Christ has done for us. The Bible says that there is great power in the message of the Cross and specifically our testimony (I Corinthians 1:18). When the Witness Stops Witnessing

Our testimony says, before Christ, there was an emptiness that could not be explained. No matter how hard we worked to fill this emptiness in our lives, we could not. Before Christ, even the right we knew to do was very difficult causing us untold problems. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The Good News is everything changed when we believed what Christ did for us on the Cross. All our sins were placed upon Christ as He took our place and paid the penalty for our transgressions. He died for our sins and was buried for three days in a tomb. On the third day, Christ rose from the dead and is now seated in Heaven making intercession for our sins. Our faith in the resurrection of Christ gives us a brand-new life in Christ where old things truly pass away. This new life fills our emptiness with the indwelling Spirit and gives us power over the old sin nature. In time we are also filled with an amazing joy and a peace that defies understanding. Our testimony has great power to those who are willing to listen. This is our testimony.

Once the witnesses finished their testimony, then the beast shall overcome them and kill them” (Revelation 11:7). Notice that the witnesses stopped their witness prior to being overcome by the beast. The best had no power over the witnesses until the witnesses stopped sharing their testimony. This is very important. Our testimony becomes foolishness and loses its great power over the forces of evil when we integrate the lies of the world into God’s holy truth. Our testimony is powerless when we believe in science over God’s truth or integrate it with Biblical doctrine. When our testimony is filled with meaningless illustrations and watered-down truth then it loses its power to convict the sinner, it loses its power over the beast system, a system designed by the devil to enslave all of humanity. Remember the beast only comes when the witness stops. Although we will have many that fight against our witness, as long as we continue to witness our testimony, even in the face of violent and rude opposition, then it will keep the beast from arising and killing us and our witness. Stop the witness of our testimony and the beast will arise. We need to be very clear about this truth.

So, what causes the witnesses to stop their testimony? What could cause them to stop witnessing to the fallen world? Was it unimaginable chaos? Was it unchecked anarchy? Although no doubt both, attributed to their decision, I believe it goes much deeper. They stopped their witness because they gave up hope that fallen humanity could change. They saw so-called believers turn away from God. Shockingly, they no longer want to hear that God is working in our lives and that nothing happens by accident. They no longer want to hear about our visions and our prophecies. They no longer want to hear about the little miracles that we see happening in our life every day. Sadly, to say it has become easy to lose hope when we see so many turning away from God and ignoring our messages. It’s so tragic to witness our testimony falling on deaf ears. When one door after another shuts it becomes easier to lose hope in humanity. This is especially tragic when you know that the beast will arise and lead the entire world into bondage when the witness stops. So, dear children, please let me encourage all of you to share your complete testimony often (read the first paragraph again). Please don’t trust in your pastors and evangelist to do this for you. We must all witness asking God to give us an open door so that they will truly listen and accept the Gospel truth.

When the witnesses are killed, and the witness is stopped there is a great earthquake (Revelation 11:13). In reality, this will shake the entire Christian community for what will soon come upon the children of God.  Christians are no longer allowed to witness. “The remnant is sorely frightened.” Notice that after the witness stopped and the beast arose the remnant was still here. They were greatly frightened, not only by the beast, but by the fierce wrath of God being poured out on unrepentant humanity. There is no greater fear that humanity will ever face than the righteous wrath of God. All the wars and all the lawlessness from humanity pale in significance as to what God’s wrath will do to humanity, the earth, and the universe. With the wars and lawlessness, you can hide or fight back, but with the wrath of God, you literally can’t do anything. As fallen humanity cries and curses the God of heaven and earth, the remnant will stand firm even as they too experience great fear. The Bible says, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). Thank God, as we shall see God does not leave His children alone to face these calamities falling upon unrepentant humanity.

When the beast turns his wrath upon God’s beloved children, “Here is the patience and the faith of the saints” (Revelation 13:10). Now fallen humanity turns their unholy wrath upon the whole Christian community, everyone who claims Jesus Christ as their Savior. Yes, this is the great persecution and if you think somehow you will magically escape it, then you will not be prepared. You will not stand firm. Only those who are patient and have faith will stand firm. Patience is extremely important as we enter this time of persecution. In the First Century, most believers at the time dealt with persecution in one of three ways. They either stood bravely before their persecutors or they fled for their lives, or worse yet they openly denied their Savior. Patiently waiting for the outcome of the charges filed against you without taking matters into your own hands will be essential. This too will take a great deal of faith believing that God is with you no matter what the outcome is, either going into captivity, being incarcerated, or being killed by the sword, their chosen method of execution (Revelation 13:10). To fight back is not an option for God’s faithful remnant if you are caught or have decided not to run.

The wrath of God now comes upon fallen humanity. “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12). When God’s beloved children are viciously attacked, then God will pour out all His wrath. This wrath is so horrific that only two things will allow the faithful remnant to have patience enough to stand firm against the persecution amid the Great Tribulation. They will patiently stand firm only by keeping the commandments of God and having faith in Jesus. It’s insightful that the Bible adds “keeping the commandments of God” to those who now need to stand firm not only against the beast and his evil system but against the wrath of God that’s poured out against all unrighteousness. So, the key to standing firm is obedience to all of God’s beautiful commandments. The biggest challenge during this time will be keeping the commandments on non-retaliation (Matthew 5:38-48) and loving your neighbors as you love yourself (Matthew 22:39). It doesn’t negate the other commandments, but it stresses during this turbulent time we must still act like Christians even if they vehemently refuse to hear our testimony, which most will. Even as they strike out against God and our fellow believers, we must maintain our Christian character. God is watching. God is not only watching but He is still with you working things out according to His divine plan (Hebrews 13:5). As we stand firm, we look forward to seeing Jesus Christ’s glorious coming in the clouds. And all the people said, Amen!

Listen to the Voice of God

Welcome to the new year 2022, it will be unlike anything we have ever experienced. Therefore, it is essential to hear only what God has to say about what’s happening now and what is coming soon upon the world. So, we bend our ears to hear the voice of God. We listen intently to hear that still small voice that comes ever so quietly from the indwelling Spirit. Many things will dull our hearing. The mind and soul are filled every day with images on the cellphone or computer monitor to the writings or voices from others in the world. These voices and images keep the mind actively engaged in assimilating all the information and drawing on our own conclusions based primarily on our past experiences, real or unreal. Although this is a great gift from God to both dissimulate and assimilate all the information in the world, it can and often does dull our spiritual ears keeping us from hearing what the Spirit says to our heart and mind. Clearly what is needed is silence and solitude preceded by jettisoning all our preconceived ideas. We must always come to God empty-handed, which I might add, is a very difficult thing to do even for the most righteous. Continue reading Listen to the Voice of God
