They say the mind can take only so much and then it stops listening. Some are calling it overload, while others are calling it selective hearing. Whatever it is, it appears that the whole world has stopped listening. They have turned away from the ancient religions and are embracing a new future that promises many unbelievable advances in technology. These changes promise to enhance humanity’s ability to experience a deeper understanding of the entire universe and their unique place in it. These changes promise to give them a fulfilled life where the whole world will come together as one in peace and tranquility. These changes promise to open the door to a new reality where anything is possible from communicating with the animal kingdom to utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance their abilities. Nothing seems impossible to a world that has jettisoned classic Christianity for a brave new world. Although many will continue to play church, they no longer trust in God for their future, and they no longer trust in religion to chart their path ahead. Anticipating the Glories of Heaven
What is your anticipation of heaven? Most of the western world has been captivated by the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, causing many to ponder their own deaths and the hereafter. Although they may not be vocal about their own coming deaths and their anticipation of heaven, I suggest that many are pondering those thoughts deep within their own hearts. So, I am asking you to pause for a moment of silence, look to heaven, and let us ponder the glories of heaven together. Let us approach the throne of grace together asking our Lord Jesus Christ to show us the unspeakable glories of heaven. As our static existence measured by time no longer exists, we enter into the glories of eternity. We are no longer captive to time and space but set free to experience all of creation in a timeless environment. Can you imagine the glory of not being locked into time, but having the ability to travel to the stars in the blink of an eye? I hope and pray that every believer in Christ has thought much about the glories of heaven and has their own anticipation based on their personal walk with Jesus Christ and Holy Scripture. Are You Fit for the Kingdom? (Video)
Jesus Christ stated that some people simply aren’t fit for the Kingdom. What? Yes, that’s correct! Until they change their way of thinking, they are not fit for the kingdom. Are You Fit for the Kingdom?
Jesus Christ stated that some people simply aren’t fit for the Kingdom. What? Yes, that’s correct! Until they change their way of thinking, they are not fit for the kingdom. This has proven to be a huge problem in today’s world. Many have come into the church without changing their way of thinking. They have come into the church and have expected, no demanded, that the church change its way of thinking to fit their interests and desires. They have memorized the Bible stories, some favorite verses of Scripture, learned many of their praise songs, and have learned well how to play church but have not changed their way of thinking. They have entered the church and have set their hands to the plough to do the Lord’s work in the kingdom, but they are not fit for the kingdom. Why? Let’s listen to the words of Jesus. “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). So, looking back is the problem. That is, looking at their own interests, their own agenda, and their own expectations based on the humanistic knowledge of their previous life. Continue reading Are You Fit for the Kingdom?
