Many people in the world claim to know Christ, yet they speak very little about Him. Although they may claim to have fellowship with a local body of believers, they tend to know more about what’s going on in the world rather than what their church believes. They are experts in every topic from politics to the latest news stories, but they are at a loss about what Christ is doing in their lives. Unfortunately, most are not being transformed in Christ but are being transformed by the world through a great flood of information. This information coming at the speed of light promises to address your every problem from mental health to physical health. It promises to answer every question about the proper foods we should eat, the medications we should take, and the exercise programs we should do. It promises to answer every question concerning the ecosystem and our place in the cosmos. Today, I would like to look beyond just following the Christian crowd and the influx of information coming from the world to understanding the miracle of our transformation in Christ. We will explore what we should expect from being transformed in Christ. Transformation is a lifelong journey. There are clear signs that we are truly on the path to transformation that will excite you beyond belief. Grasping the Benefits of Christ
If the human race really grasped the benefits of Christ everything around us would immediately change. We have had many people, some no doubt wiser than myself, try to explain the grandeur and majesty of these benefits. There have been hundreds, perhaps thousands, of pages written by some of our most ardent Christian scholars to plummet the depths of this most profound mystery. I dare say, over the centuries, there have only been very few in each age that has truly understood the great mysteries and benefits of Christ. These are bright lights shining in the darkness. These are the ones who have touched the very essence of Christianity through the indwelling Holy Spirit. These are the ones who have sat long at the Savior’s feet waiting for Him to open their minds to His abiding presence. They have waited patiently to understand the glorious benefits of being in Christ, to experience the great joy, and peace that truly defies understanding. As we fast approach the end it’s essential that we fully grasp the benefits of Christ. Let me encourage you to fully grasp the benefits of Christ and not settle for what can be seen on YouTube or social media. Please don’t settle for what the lukewarm church is offering. God’s Children Are Slipping into Darkness
God’s children are slipping into darkness. Every day the world seems like it’s growing crazier. The News Media, Social Media, and the tabloids are aflame with stories of people completely losing it in public, unfortunately, some of these are professed believers in Christ. Some people have garnered the name “Karen” for calling the police when they feel unduly threatened, pointing guns at other people, in a fit of rage screaming and throwing things in public. Every day, people are doing more things that shock our sensibilities. At times it feels like we live in some kind of twilight zone. We have also observed that many people today seem fascinated with the past of others through the publication of books and memoirs but on the other hand, they want to erase history by tearing down all statues and changing the names of some of our forts and institutions. Have COVID-19, the lockdown, face mask requirements, and politicians caused us all to go a bit insane? Has it caused God’s children to slip into darkness, or is it something much more sinister? For the sake of brevity, we will only look at a few of the most important things that cause God’s children to slip into darkness. If you could write one more article, or make one last speech, or record one last video for mankind what would you say? More importantly, what would God want to say through you for all of mankind?
