This is the great battle. This is Armageddon. This is the day that everyone will be exposed for who and what they really are. We see this final battle in two places in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 16:12-16; and 19:11-21) with a brief interlude in between describing the great prostitute, the beast, and the fall of Babylon. We also notice the great rejoicing in heaven because the battle will be won, and everyone will be exposed (Revelation 19:1-10), what a glorious day that will be. If we look at the first description of the battle, we see all the enemies of God seeking to destroy everything of Christ (Revelation 16:12-16), commonly referred to as Armageddon. The beast, the false prophets, and other world religions, namely Islam, will make their final push to eradicate the teachings of Christ by integrating them with false doctrine. When we look at the second description of the great battle, we observe the Word of God exposing the enemies of Christ and destroying them on the field of battle (Revelation 19:11-21). The penetrating eyes of Jesus Christ will expose the sins of the world. God’s Word spoken through His faithful remnant and the angels of heaven will be victorious over His enemies. Hallelujah! The Two Witnesses in Revelation
Most Christians are familiar with the two witnesses in the book of Revelation, even though they may prove to be an enigma. To help us understand their witness we need to listen to the angel that opened their eyes to the problem that will face the Church in each age from the First Century until now. The angel accomplished this by having the two witnesses do a couple of amazing things before they were allowed to witness. They must measure the community of the faithful who correctly worship their God and then measure everyone else who is not worshipping God correctly but is following the world (Revelation 11:1-2). This would be a wake-up call to the true condition of the Church. Almost from the beginning, they had lost their way as the Church integrated the world’s philosophies and teachings with God’s beautiful truth. False doctrine had entered the Church. These two witnesses, representative of all God’s faithful witnesses in every age, will continue to witness His beautiful truths to fallen humanity. They would also go to the heart of the problem and witness directly to the powers of darkness who were causing God’s children to stumble. The Last War to be Waged on Earth
As the battle lines are drawn between North Korea and the United States there is a greater battle to be waged. As the battle lines are drawn between the liberals and conservatives there is a greater battle to be waged. As the battle lines are drawn between those who want to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel and those who don’t there is a greater battle to be waged. A battle of all battles that will end life on earth as we now know it. This last war to be waged on earth is between the children of Light and the sons of darkness. This will not be your typical battle. Nuclear and biological weapons will not suffice. Protests and marches will have no effect. Even putting together a digital army in the millions, will not change the outcome. The last war to be waged on earth will be directed by God, our true Commander in Chief. A war that will truly defeat the enemy and scuttle the sons of darkness. God is doing and will continue to do His part. He is calling His children, the children of Light, to do their part. Your Words are Killing Me
Our article today is, “Your Words are Killing Me.” Today we continue our series of article that proclaim that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. The sheer number of those who suffer emotional and psychological trauma from unwholesome words launched against them is staggering. From all the wars that have been waged to all the plagues that have descended upon the planet nothing has come close to the number of those who have been damaged by corrupt and rotten speech. There is great power in the spoken word tragically used to tear down and destroy those closest to us. Make no mistake this power is quickly learned by those being attacked, perhaps in a lesser degree, and used defensively, but it does not excuse their bad behavior. This has caused a flood of casualties seeking relief from the world’s counselors to bind up their wounds. Instead of solving their real problems through godly advice they are led as captives into a life of psychotropic drug addiction with little hope of recovery. For the first time in human history the institution of marriage with its permanent relationships are becoming extinct being replaced by multiple marriages or non-committal cohabitation. If you could have your spiritual eyes opened you would be horrified by the carnage of broken lives caused by corrupt and rotten speech. There is a better way, a path of true recovery and hope for those who are willing to follow God’s counsel from His anointed Word. Continue reading Your Words are Killing Me
