The Lukewarm Church is Blinded by The World (Video)

When did we stop trusting God? When did we stop trusting Him to really make us into a new creation and then to grow us from one degree of glory to another (See II Corinthians 5:17; 3:18)? The Lukewarm Church is Blinded by The World

When did we stop trusting God? When did we stop trusting Him to really make us into a new creation and then to grow us from one degree of glory to another (See II Corinthians 5:17; 3:18)? Perhaps it all started when the world turned its back on God and then discovered very quickly that humanity was in trouble. Why were they in trouble? There was no longer a moral anchor and humanity began to drift into a greater sea of immorality. Many tried desperately to reign in terror and gross immorality with new laws and mandates, but everything failed. As churches emptied and immorality increased fallen humanity needed a solution and they needed it quick. So, in time they resurrected some old theories of a pagan writer who lived a few centuries earlier; someone who thought he understood human nature. Then with the experimentation of new drugs, seemingly to affect behavior, and this new science of mental health, then the art of modern psychology was born. So, humanity no longer needed God to direct their path and provide them a moral anchor, because a new quasi religion had arrived on the scene to solve all the problems of fallen humanity. So how does all this affect the lukewarm church? Continue reading The Lukewarm Church is Blinded by The World

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/8/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. What is life? Oh Lord, many today among those who claim to know you have no idea as they blindly follow the world in its constant change to keep everyone enslaved. We as a people have lost our way as Satan tightens his grip. Oh Lord, teach all your beloved children that life is intimately knowing you the one true God and being known by you. In so doing it takes precedent over every other activity that people our calling life. To truly know you, experiences your magnificent love that cannot be contained; it’s so overflowing that it must be given away, given to others. To follow the world in its hate by spreading its slander, its gossip, its malicious secrets, and its conspiracy theories keeps us enslaved to the world unable to experience the bountiful life from knowing you, our one true God. Satan is using many tools today to keep most of humanity busy and in bondage to what he calls life: surfing, listening, watching, and absorbing everything and gaining nothing. Lord, help us to never be counted among that number. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3).

PRAYERS FOR THE LAST WEEK,  IN CASE YOU MISSED ONE

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/7/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Perhaps in comparison with others, we may consider our use of time superior, however, we must allow you to judge our use of time by your heavenly standards. We must consider every moment of every day either as useful for the Kingdom or simply being used to satisfy our own personal gratification. We pray, Oh Lord, in a high-tech world driven by the entertainment industry and social media platforms that we will rediscover those important things from ages past in which to best utilize our time. Lead all of your beloved children to seek out those important things like prayer, fellowship, and spiritual growth through the application of your Word to occupy their time. Let them always be ready to stop what they are doing and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, no matter what time of day or night. We pray that we will always be ready to do Kingdom work and not waste our precious time on frivolous games or personal entertainment. Let everything we do bring glory to your Holy Name in a world that has mostly rejected you. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16, ESV).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/6/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. As the world around us plunges deeper and deeper into immorality, we have noticed it’s becoming ever more difficult for your beloved children to remain holy. They have easily taken on the same bad behavior of the world through both corrupt communication and immoral actions. This is easily observed on their social media posts and their comments, which greatly grieves us. We can only imagine what we would observe in person. We pray that all of your beloved children will behave as sanctified Christians who were called out from the world to be separate. We pray that they will always remember that you, Lord, are watching everything; you are watching everything that we post and every comment that we make. Nothing is done in secret. We pray that you will lead them to firmly rebuke others for their immoral behavior and if they refuse to repent then give them the courage to come out from among them and be separate. We pray that they will understand that our public behavior, good or bad, is a true witness of who we are in Christ. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (I Peter 1:15-16).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/5/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for delivering us from the powers of darkness that had such a tremendous hold on us keeping us from seeing the light of your glory. Most of the world is in bondage to their evil thoughts always going from bad to worse with every wrong decision. Their deep dark hole only gets deeper and deeper until one marvelous day, everything changed. In the blink of an eye, the light of your glory shown through and we could see a new path forward, the translation to a new country, to the Kingdom of God. Hallelujah! We have been translated from the powers of darkness that no longer have a hold on us, that no longer control our every thought, and action. Praise God! We are now in the Kingdom of your dear Son allowing us to say no to the old life, to say no to the many temptations, and to say no to the many things that constantly pulled us down. Thank you, Lord, for moving us to your glorious Kingdom of light and life. We praise your Holy Name! We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/4/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, if we could just pick one thing to look forward to in Heaven, other than meeting you, it would be free from the wiles of the devil and his constant temptation of our old sin nature. If we could be allowed to convict your children of one thing, it would be not to give place to the devil who wants to destroy everything. Help us, Oh Lord, to never give place to the devil whose greatest avenue of attack is through our feelings and emotions. It’s like he is right there waiting for us to feel anger, frustrated, anxious, impatient, worried, wronged, or any other number of unchecked emotions so that he can tempt us to sin. We know when we give place to the devil then our emotions are magnified almost immediately separating us from the indwelling Spirit’s counsel, leaving us in the devil’s hands, to follow through on our sins. We pray, Oh Lord, that your children will immediately cast out the unhealthy thoughts that directly affect our emotions that lead us to give place to the devil. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/3/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, please encourage your beloved children to lift up their heads and focus on you, our risen Lord, instead of being drowned by what’s happening all around them in this world. As we focus all of our thoughts upon you, we know from experience, that your magnificent love will flow powerfully to us through the indwelling Spirit filling up every fiber of our being. We can’t even imagine how difficult these days would be without you. We cannot imagine how difficult it would be to try and understand what’s happening in the world. We truly understand why so many are glued to their computers and cellphones looking for the latest developments or uncovered truths. We pray, Oh Lord, that you will open their eyes that this phenomenon of chasing after another undiscovered truth beyond what you have given to us is only creating more stress driving many further into the darkness. Help us all to lift up our heads and focus on you alone who is the bearer of true blessings from above, blessings of great joy, and peace that defy understanding. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/2/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, help us to be righteous in a wickedly unrighteous world. We know your commandments because you have written them on our hearts. As your beloved children, we are still tempted to draw the proverbial “red line” and tell others that we can no longer bear with them. We are tempted to strike back or withhold our love, our time, and even our resources. We pray that you teach us again how to go the extra mile and how to continue to bear with others, especially when they let us down by not fulfilling their promises. We desire to be true lights in a very dark world that’s getting darker by day. We know one thing that helps, is remembering that you see everything. It’s remembering that you are a righteous Judge allowing others to reap what they have sown. We don’t need to judge. It’s also knowing that your true nature is always to lead people out of darkness giving them an opportunity to also walk as children of light. Oh Lord, give us strength to always do what’s right. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 8/1/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, the days are darker and darker as we always long for the light of your glory to shine forth in the hearts of men. We pray, Oh Lord, that you will raise up the faithful remnant in our day to go before you to prepare for your great return, to reward your servants, and to bring forth your righteous judgment upon those who spurn your commandments and deny the testimony of Jesus. Although we have been gloriously saved by grace, we know that you still require us to obey all of your beautiful commandments by writing them on our hearts. This is a true mark of the faithful remnant. We pray that you will cause your remnant everywhere to put your blessed testimony upon their lips always ready to share and defend. Let us defend it to death if necessary, to demonstrate to the fallen world that you have truly given us everything we need in Scripture to become new people in Christ. Let us proclaim loudly, that we have no need for the world’s psychobabble or their humanistic teachings to help us in our transformation. Help us to stand firm against the dragon who is already taking many captive to do his will, to both kill and destroy. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17).
