Four Most Horrifying Words

What a glorious day that will be at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but for some it will not be so glorious. The unbelieving world will cower in their caves crying out to the rocks to fall upon them and hide them from the coming Lord and His wrath. (See Revelation 6:16-17). On the other hand, all those who claimed to believe in Christ will be awakened at an hour they did not expect and will rush out to meet the Lord with glad tidings in their heart thinking all is well. They all without exception had become drowsy and fell asleep, because the promise of His coming had been for a very long time. To this date its been nearly two thousand years since the promise was first given to His disciples. Perhaps the great missionary efforts had ceased and revivals had become a relic of the past replaced with conferences geared to a favorite doctrine. Even one on one evangelism was frowned upon my most for being too exclusive. It appears that the entire church drifted off to sleep and was only now awakened at the news of Christ’s return which no doubt caused much panic among all to let their light shine in a very dark world as they all rushed to meet the bridegroom. Love All the Children

A Love note from God, to all pregnant women (and parents who have accepted the greatest gift imaginable). As you’re sitting there contemplating the life that’s within you please realize that God, creator of all that exist, has plans for your child as he’s being formed within the womb. What an amazing thought. That this child of yours could be used of God in some mighty task in saving others or establishing His Kingdom here on earth. This child of yours could end up being the President of the United States of America; or some great scientist who discovers the cure for some horrible disease like Alzheimer’s; or some great evangelist that would turn the peoples heart back to God and His magnificent love. Can you only imagine what would have happened if Mary would’ve chosen abortion to escape people not understanding the miraculous birth of a virgin? Because of her faithfulness, the Son of God was born in human flesh to bring salvation to humanity. Even if your child does not climb to such heights, he will still have a tremendous effect upon others living in the world. Just think about the number of lives that you have personally touched. Perhaps some for the good and some for the bad, but either way it may have helped them to grow stronger and more resolute to face the many trials and tribulations in the world. The Power of Love and It’s Magnificent Power

As we face another new year many have looked back in alarming disgust at a world where the love of many has grown cold. Daily the news media is filled with violent crime, terrorism, and unimaginable events that cut at the very core of our being causing many to weep and cry out to the Lord for His swift return. How could we drift so far from the Love, that God gave to the world through His only begotten Son? How could it grow so cold? Even among so many who profess to know Jesus Christ as their Lord? Perhaps the answer is more simple than we can imagine. The world in general and the Christian in particular has forgotten how to love and more importantly they have forgotten the true source of that love. They have forgotten that their very best effort at loving others falls woefully short of true love and its magnificent power. So, it’s needful to re-enter the schoolhouse of heavenly love that transcends understanding. It cannot be entered by the lost, nor can it even be comprehended by the carnal mind. It is only possible to climb this heavenly staircase by those who cast off their carnality and be willing to submit to the Master’s use as His vessel. Spirit Counselor

Today we continue a series of articles that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. We have all been counseled at one time or another by a Father, a Mother, an older brother or sister; by a friend, a pastor, a Christian counselor and perhaps even by a so called professional counselor, who is gaining recognition and authority in today’s world. My question, however, is how many of us actually receive ongoing counsel from God’s Holy Spirit? Before we answer that question in the affirmative let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into a deeper understanding of His work in us. Every true believer in Christ knows with all assurance that we have received a gift of the Holy Spirit to reside in us throughout the remainder of our journey here on earth. He is not just a Holy Visitor but a Permanent Resident that will never leave us nor forsake us. This Third Person of the Trinity is at all times connected to, in relationship with, and at one with both the Son and the Father. What an all powerful love to be with us, to reside in us, throughout all of life during the best of times and the worst of times. Continue reading Spirit Counselor
