Seven Lies of the Devil – Part II

To miss what is going on in the world, we would need to be living in a bubble. Of course, as believers, we knew that this day would come when the whole world seems to be falling apart from horrific firestorms to unbelievably extreme temperatures and from unchecked lawlessness to the grossest of sexual perversions. Perhaps the worst for the true believer is to see so many fall away and embrace all the lies of the devil as if they were the gospel truth. It is enough to make you weep in great agony.

We Can Make Things Better

Perhaps the most dangerous lie is that we can make the world better through the political process. This has been a lie used many times throughout history raising up the Caesars, Napoleons, and Hitler’s promising to make things better, but in the end creating a cult-like mentality, which brought death and destruction to the world. This thinking of making things better through the political process is antithetical to the Way presented by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Christ came to earth to show us a better way of truly making things better. The Christian way is through transformational change one person at a time. The heart and mind must be changed by putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ. The devil cares only about manipulating your heart and mind to believe his lies thus creating a cult-like mentality. He wants you to believe that forcing everyone through his new laws will cause them to align with his way, or your way of thinking, which will overcome the divisions, and establish a brave new world. This is a very dangerous and deceptive lie of the devil that will ingeniously target religious people who will be willing to follow him to hell and back. They will even proclaim him as some kind of saint or savior that will deliver the world from very evil and corrupt people. They may even proclaim that God has raised him to fix the world through the political process. Stop listening to the devil who can even disguise himself as an angel of light (II Corinthians 11:14). This will be the path that the dreaded Antichrist will take causing you to believe that he has your best interest at heart. This deception will be so strong that people will freely worship him as the savior of humanity believing that he alone will stop the wars, the outrageous lawlessness, and even the wrath of God as we had discussed earlier. Let’s stop listening to the devil’s lies and return to God’s way of real lasting change. Continue reading Seven Lies of the Devil – Part II

Glorify God in the Coming Judgment

God is glorified for many things, but we don’t often think about God being glorified in His righteous judgment coming now upon the earth. God since the beginning has always been glorified when His chosen people followed the path that was laid out for them in loving obedience to His commandments. The Bible says, “Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified” (Isiah 60:21). God brought forth His commandments to show them the path of righteousness and the branch of His planting. This branch looked forward to the salvation of the whole world, a people in distant lands walking in righteousness to the glory of God. God’s work was the gift of His beloved Son to make propitiation for the sins of humanity (I John 2:2). God’s work was the glorious transformation of fallen humanity in Christ by putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 4:22-24). Furthermore, the God of creation would be glorified as His beloved children would let their light shine through their good works (Matthew 5:16). In time, they would also learn how to glorify God in their body and in their Spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:20). This would only be the beginning of a deeper journey of glorifying God in every situation including the coming judgment. Continue reading Glorify God in the Coming Judgment

The Great Day of God Almighty

This is the great battle. This is Armageddon. This is the day that everyone will be exposed for who and what they really are. We see this final battle in two places in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 16:12-16; and 19:11-21) with a brief interlude in between describing the great prostitute, the beast, and the fall of Babylon. We also notice the great rejoicing in heaven because the battle will be won, and everyone will be exposed (Revelation 19:1-10), what a glorious day that will be. If we look at the first description of the battle, we see all the enemies of God seeking to destroy everything of Christ (Revelation 16:12-16), commonly referred to as Armageddon. The beast, the false prophets, and other world religions, namely Islam, will make their final push to eradicate the teachings of Christ by integrating them with false doctrine. When we look at the second description of the great battle, we observe the Word of God exposing the enemies of Christ and destroying them on the field of battle (Revelation 19:11-21). The penetrating eyes of Jesus Christ will expose the sins of the world. God’s Word spoken through His faithful remnant and the angels of heaven will be victorious over His enemies. Hallelujah! A Voice Crying in the Wilderness

The Bible says, “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” (Isaiah 40:3). Most are not what they appear to be. When Christ comes back their masks will be removed, and everything will be revealed. Are you truly ready for that day? Remember, God looks at your heart, your mind, and your soul. He looks at your memories and your every thought that you ever had. He looks at how you spend your days chasing after one opinion and then another. He is fully aware of how much time you have spent on social media, YouTube, entertainment, and your relentless searches on the internet. He knows everything about you as you stand before the King of Glory waiting to be judged for everything that you have done in the body (see II Corinthians 5:10). Now, tell me again that you are ready for His glorious coming in the clouds. The Bible says, “And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2). So, let’s talk about getting ready for the coming of Christ who will rapture up the pure Body of Christ, to be caught up to meet Him coming in the clouds. This is a topic we don’t want to quickly pass over. We need to take our time to ensure that we will be ready when Christ returns. Continue reading A Voice Crying in the Wilderness
